More than once when I'm at 97-99 percent through hacking someone I get a message that the Ubisoft connection is lost. Does this mean the player getting hacked shuts their system down or logs out to prevent my hack?

I was reapplying thermal paste to the heatsink on my Macbook 2,1. There are two sensor cables that need to be disconnected to access the underside of the heatsink, and in each sensor there are two cables with copper wiring at the tip. When prying one of the sensors out, one of these copper wires came loose from the sensor. I stuck the wire back in place in the sensor (with the copper exposed) and reconnected everything as it should be. When powering my computer back on, the iStat reads CPU Heatsink where before it used to read Heatsink A and Heatsink B. Is that a dangerous/bad thing? Do I need to replace the heatsink altogether, or is one fully functional sensor and one of the two cables undamaged on the other sensor enough for the heatsink to do its job?

So far the computer is performing fine, the fan has slowed a whole lot (running below 1800 when 6200 used to be average), the computer is quiet, the CPU is running at around 52 degrees, the Heatsink's around 49 and an issue I was having with my monitor flickering a lot and not turning back on when I close the laptop down has now been fixed after adding the thermal paste, so it SEEMS like everything is fine, but is it really? I'm trying to adjust the rollers on my shower door. They use #8-32 x 3/8" hex washer head screws, but I don't know what screw driver or drill bit to use. Can anyone help me identify the correct size bit?

I noticed that during major announcements, the Apple online store is usually down. Once the announcement/conference is done the store goes live again with the new products available to purchase immediately.

I was wondering if the older models of say the Macbook Air are still available to buy online when a newer version was announced and put up for sale? Sometimes people like the older versions over the updates. Do you have to go to a store for the older version, or can you buy it online still?

I'm building a toy chest using 1x4s joined together. The dimensions are roughly 26" length, 18" width and about 16" height and the lid extends 1" over the sides and the front. Since the 30" piano hinge is too long, I was going to use two 12" ones to join the lid. Should I go for the 1 1/2" width or 1 1/16" width? What difference would with make? And can anyone recommend a good lid support?

Im looking to hire someone to design new front steps for me and I don't know whether they fall into the category of landscape architecture or regular architecture. It's just the steps I need redone, not the porch or anything else, and I want someone to create a visual mockup of the finished product for me to give to the mason workers to follow.

So should I look to hire a landscape architect or a regular architect?

I'm trying to avoid the $11 online service fee on a game ticket and was planning on going to the stadium ticket office, but I was wondering if the fees are charged in over-the-phone sales also. Anyone know? Sure would save me a long trek to the stadium if they aren't.

I just discovered that my address is being used for a delivery scam. I was home today and heard the FedEx guy at the door but he left the package and drove away before I could answer (which leads me to believe that he's in on it) so I brought the packages in. However, when I examined the address info, I didn't recognize the name but the address was exactly mine. A few minutes later (less than 10) someone came knocking on my door and asked if anything was delivered. I gave the person the package without thinking too much about it (naive, I know). After thinking about the whole ordeal I realized it was probably a scam and the car that was parked in front of my home belonged to him because it was gone soon after he got the package.

Moving forward, I anticipate these people running the scam again and if I'm home I don't know how to deal with it. Should I collect the package and call the police, leave it alone since the people might be dangerous, warn them to leave me out of it lest I involve the police, capture photos of the delivery man and guys who are collecting the package and give that info to the cops? I looked up the sender address on the packages and it was from AT&T, so I'm guessing they were cellphones.

I'm just asking so I can get the most opinions I can before I decide how to deal with this.

The recommended daily amount is 2.4 mcg/day, but the B-12 vitamins available in drugstores offer 500, 1000 or even 2000 mcg per pill and suggest users take one pill a day. That seems exponentially high compared to the RDA. Is it OK to take these drugstore pills? And why are they so high if the RDA is just 2.4 mcg?

I need help finding any grammatical or punctuation errors with these two sentences:

1. The gardener clipped the hedges to look like animals from the menagerie, but somehow the rabbit ended up with only one ear.

2. Woolen slack, vest, and jacket all hung in the closet and fed the moths for months.

The only things I could come up with is there shouldn't be a comma before the "but" in number one and it should be "slacks" in number two. I know AP style would suggest that there shouldn't be a comma before "and" in number two, but does that apply for other writing styles?

I've seen a lot of installations of engineered floors done via gluing down the hardwood or having them float. Can you simply just nail them in? I'm thinking of a doing a self-install in a small bedroom and I don't think I'll be satisfied with floating while gluing is more work that I'm interested in doing. Is there a reason you're not supposed to nail down engineered floors as you would real hardwood, or is it an option?

When referring to someone by their position and omitting their name, for example: "I worked with the Vice President for marketing and e-commorce on this project," is it correct to capitalize that title or should everything remain lowercase? Furthermore, should the marketing and e-commerce be capitalized as well?

If the listing specifies no phone calls, do I just ignore that bit and call the company to ask the question without referencing the specific position?

Are you able to just connect to a wifi network to setup your account/download updates when you turn the device on for the first time, or will the screen just show that 'connect to computer icon?' I was able to use my iPad without connecting it to my laptop and an iPod Touch is basically a smaller iPad.

I own a black Macbook, mid 2007 model, and it's increasingly outdated. It is, in my opinion, a classic model so I wish to continue using it, but I was wondering if it's possible to update it. I've already maxed out the RAM and installed a higher-capacity hard drive, but is it also possible to install a better-quality screen, or is the version the computer currently carries the only option?

Basically I would like to ultimately keep the black casing and gut the interior to install more updated parts. If it were a PC I know this would be an easier task but is it possible with my Mac? Or is the computer built for the components it currently carries and nothing else?

I left the PS3 on overnight and when I woke up I noticed that it turned off. The problem is that it won't turn on anymore. There's no yellow, red or green light, it just beeps three times and stays off. Is it broken for good or is there anything I can do or try to fix it?

My base, window and door trims are all wood -- which I will be staining/varnishing -- but there are large spaces between the trim and wall and I need to first fill them. Can I use a generic painter's caulk or is there a specific wood caulk -- not the same as wood filler -- to use?

I'm interested in taking the trip but don't know if you're able to stop off in different cities to explore before boarding again and continuing the trip. A preliminary search leads me to think it's a straight 51-hour trip from Chicago to Emeryville. Can you stop off, and if so how does that work? Do you get on the same train or a later one since a train departs everyday?
