We have a family cabin in the woods. We just tore down the old cabin and built a brand new one. Our partners want to keep all the old mattresses that were in the old cabin. These old mattresses sat in the house during harsh winters, then in a metal storage facility for one year (uncovered). They smell old and musty. We want to replace them and our partners don't. They (partners) do not want to replace them because they feel they still have a useful life left & because they have kind of a depression-era attitude of "why replace it unless it's completely worn out and useless". Most other areas we have been able to compromise and resolve issues. We each own 50% of this property.

We did buy a new queen mattress set for us to use when we are here. But our guests get to sleep on the old mattresses & we don't like that. Currently we have two doubles and three twins.

Some of the family members like the smell of the old cabin in stuff. We don't. It's a musty, almost moldy smell.

So I need a convincing argument to try to talk them into getting rid of the old mattresses & buying new ones (nothing fancy). As far as we know, the old mattresses are free of bugs, and we are using pest control (even though our partners think its a waste of money and are not interested in paying half).

I have a vacation home with DSL & wi-fi....I'm looking for a wi-fi camera that I can view from any internet connection (with a password) & that also has a decent picture. I'd also like to point it to a window to check the weather.

I have time-warner cable in LA County, & I'm tired of paying a small fortune for cable TV. My wife likes to watch NCIS, Law & Order (esp. SVU) & CSI. This time of year, all she watches are re-runs. We do not watch regular television, news, sports, etc. (because I absolutely hate commercials - all of them). Does Apple TV, Netflix or something like that work for us as an alternative?

I know fiber is the answer, but if I when I take it I just get gas & still get plugged up. Laxatives do too much. So I end up using a Fleet enema, almost daily. I know that adds to the problem, but I'm not sure how to solve it, which is why I'm asking! I'm 57 & have had this issue on and off for about 10 years.

I recently switched to Walgreen's pharmacy. For two months in a row now, the pharmacist has put a "hold" on my refill (it is a controlled substance) because it was "too early." I was trying to refill my prescription of generic Ambien (which I should probably stop using anyway because I don't REALLY need it) a few (3 days) early. My thinking is it my doctor's (and my) problem to monitor my use of this, not the pharmicist's. And is this over-reaction pharmicist's discretion, law or Walgreen's policy?

Originally a Macintosh fan, I switched many years ago to PC. But now I no longer have to coordinate with gov't & business. We have 2 iPads & we both have iPhones. I've just about had it with Microsoft. But the Mac laptops are about twice as expensive as a new, fairly powerful, PC laptop. Please advise!

This is kind of the same as my previous question, but with more detail.

We will be in Orlando at about 10am on April 2nd, after a cruise. Our driver will drop us off at Universal Citywalk, Downtown Disney, any of the Disney Theme Parks, Seaworld or the mall. Then the driver will pick us up at about 5pm to go to the airport for our 7:15pm flight home. The best part is they take care of our luggage too.

So we have about 7 hours to kill. We live in So. CA & have been to the Universal Citywalk & Downtown Disney here, within the last year. We aren't much for malls. We are 56 years old, but we are active & walk at least 1 mile+ each day.

Should we try Epcot? I know the admission is large for such a short stay, but so is the cost of the ride to get there (they are about the same). So other than the expense of admission, would you recommend this?

My wife & I are going to be in Cocoa Beach this Friday....staying at the Hilton. We don't drink. Where should we eat dinner & what should we do around town? We leave from the cruise port on Sat late morning.

The license plate holder, where the bolt goes in, is stripped and ripped the body. Needs minor body work and is Honda's fault. The dealer said it wold have to be approved by a regional manager. Torrance California area.

We are getting ready to bu a new washer and dryer, and we are looking at high-end, mass-marketed machines. Most of these have a model with steam that is $200-$300 more than virtually the same model without steam. We have no children at home and little grime on clothes.

I'm proposing next Wednesday at Disneyland. She thinks it will be August before I officially propose. Any ideas where and when I should pop the question?

My mom (81 years old) uses it in her laundry along with a good quality laundry detergent. The clothes she is washing do not have any grease on them or other heavy dirt. So what benefit would it have, or not have, so I can perhaps convince her to stop using it?

Without adding the security (anyone nearby can access) and with the added (for example Linksys) security. My friend is reluctant to use a secure network because someone (or a bot) hacked into his computer using his unsecure network.

I'm going to a condo that charges for wireless internet & allows only one connection at a time. With 2 laptops and 2 iPod touches, I'd like to set it up so we have connections to all of our devices. Is this possible? What would I need?
