4 AntwortenMathematicsvor 9 JahrenFlip attempt: Backflip or Frontal flip?
Ok... I'm into Parkour lately and I've mastered the basic stuff (vaults, wall run, even Tic-Tac) and i want to go a little more into freerunning, or to say "showing off". I want do start with flips, but I have minor difficulties when I try to make one: In the middle of the jump - I give up, I don't even tuck my legs to get a backward motion. Any suggestions to make it go right? Is trying to do it from a higher ground a good idea? I don't have access to a trampoline so its not an option. Also, is it better to try a wall backflip or a regular backflip for the first time?

So I just made myself a cup of STRONG coffee, drank it in 5sec and I started to learn Latin, and I have to say it's incredible! I feel supercharged and I'm learning a lot faster now, "seeing" thing I didn't see right away... The only bad thing is the effect wears down pretty quickly. Is there another way to "supercharge" besides caffeine?
2 AntwortenOther - Educationvor 1 JahrzehntMathematical infinity?
So, the other day i was setting up my new bike computer... To get what distance my wheel makes in one full turn i used the diameter*pi formula. Today I was thinking about it and I came to a (stupid) conclusion; Is my wheel infinite!?
Let me explain: The diameter of my wheel is 64cm and pi equals to about 3.14. The result was 200.96 . But what if I multiplied 64cm with the real pi (3,1415926535897932384626433832795 etc.)? Because pi is an endless, transcendental, irrational number it is infinite. If you look at his logically, my wheel would be endlessly big because pi is always "growing".
Does this make any sense, can this be logically denied?

1 AntwortHairvor 1 JahrzehntHaving monitor problems?
I have some weird problem with my LG Flatron W2243S. When I turned on my computer and monitor, the picture was a little blurry - I sharpened it a little and it was ok, but after some time I notice that the letters aren't what they used to be so i pressed "Auto" to adjust it and it was ok again. Then after a few minutes the letters become blurry again, and I had to press "Auto" again to correct it. My sharpness settings were just as I set them after the letters became blurry again. And while playing games (CoD4) the picutre shakes. How can I fix this?

3 AntwortenMathematicsvor 1 JahrzehntRational numbers question?
So yesterday, on math class, I solved a difficult task (a quadratic polynomial). I solved it correctly, but at one point teacher asked me something I couldn't explain. The task says: "(...)Determine the polynomial if it's coefficients are rational numbers!". The first zero was √3 - 1, and I knew the other one had to be -√3 - 1 (I know it had to be it's conjugate). Teacher said that these are NOT complex numbers - so i cant conjugate anything. How can I prove that the rational coefficient [√3 - 1] is equal(?) to the rational coefficient [-√3 - 1]?
I'm asking this again because i didn't understand the previous answer, could you please show me this in detail? (10pts is guaranteed!)

I want to try to smoke a cigarette for the first time (not the whole thing, just a smoke, so that I know what its about). So can I get addicted after one cigarette, because I DO NOT want to get addicted.
NOTE: I am a "good kid"; I never drunk, never did drugs, never smoked, never been a problem. Take this in mind before judging my decision.

She asked John to get/have her bike fixed.
Is this correct? Our teacher says that the sentence: " She got her bike fixed " is correct, but Ii refuse to believe in that because of two reasons;
1. She just asked John, John could say "No".
2. Where is John in the sentence?
