I'm upgrading from my BC Rich Warlock, which is literally falling apart after four years of use...I'm looking for a guitar that can produce clear and crisp clean sounds that sound great with reverb and chorus, but that can also pack a huge punch when used with a distortion pedal. I want a very versitile guitar. My bottom of the line bronze series Warlock had decent clean tones but the distorted tones get to be a little too much when the volume gets high in the sense that the distorted tones aren't very clear and sound like straight up muddy fuzz. It's awful. Anyway, I'm looking at new guitars online (I wont be getting one for a while as I'm going to play my BC Rich until it does literally fall apart) and I saw a Fender HSH Black Top, and it looks great except for the fact that the fretboard is rosewood...But still something that I would get for 550$. I was wondering though if getting a Gibson Les Paul Studio would be worth it at 800$...I've never played one though, and I've played plenty of strats. So I have four big questions to ask:

1. Is the Les Paul Studio really worth it?

2. Is the Les Paul Studio better than the Fender HSH Strat BlackTop?

3. What is a good 2nd guitar that fits my need for a crisp, pure clean tone and a heavy but crisp distorted tone

4. Out of pure curiosity...What is the difference between a Les Paul Studio and a Les Paul Standard other than a mere 1200 dollars? (Of course I'm not considering getting the Standard)

Okay so I've been playing guitar for about three years now, and its kind of surpassed drums as my main instrument...I also play mandolin, bass, drums and acoustic guitar. I'm starting to save my money and I figure by the time I have enough my guitar will be in awful shape, since its legit starting to fall apart right now. Here's what I'm looking for:

Price range: 400-500 dollars, 600 at the VERY most if the guitar is really impressive.

Versatility: I play a lot of ska and clean tone stuff, so a great clean tone is an absolute must...But then again I also like to play ska-punk/core and I like to add some heaviness to my clean songs with some distortion. So I need a guitar that has a nice and pure clean tone but that also sounds hard and heavy when I use a pedal. Right now I have a really low level BC Rich Warlock, and the tone sounds like mud and its really fuzzy when its distorted. Its just bad. The clean on it is alright though.

Finish: Either a nice transparent black, or a transparent red, kind of like a candy apple, you feel? Oh and a light color honeyburst or sunburst too, but the other two are preferred.

Hardware: Humbuckers basically are the standard when it comes to pickups. Gold or chorme hardware doesn't really make a difference to me, they both look good. Obviously I'd like at least two pickups, but I could go for three too if its in the price range.

Body and Neck: I know a lot about woods because I'm a dedicated drummer, but the body wood doesn't make a huge difference to me as long is its solid and good quality for my money. The neck HAS to be maple, and so does the fretboard. I'm not willing to buy anything that doesn't have a maple neck, and I guess I could deal with a rosewood fretboard, but I like the feel of maple fretboards, and come on...They just look soooooo classy. Also, I don't want an extravagent body shape like the BC Rich warlock or the flying V or even a gibson Explorer...I'd like something Strat, Les Paul, SG etc etc like...Just your typical stereotypical body type. Also, the most important thing of all, and one of the main reasons I'm getting a new guitar...I NEED jumbo frets, because I have really big hands. My warlock is a little kids guitar, I need a mans guitar. And if the neck is a bolt on, that's no big deal. I understand its hard to find solid piece guitars at this price sometimes.

Yeah I know that's kind of specific...I'm thinking right now something like a Fender Telecaster, but I just want to know if there's anything else that I should look at. Oh and btw, no Floyd Rose bridges, so that basically eliminates ESP haha. Thanks.

Do these things have an influence on weather or not your FRIENDS (Not going out every night best friends, but saying hi in the hall, holding a conversation at school/work) with another person?

Personal choices as in: Sexuality, political ideals, taste in clothes, music or style? (If you don't like a person due to racist ideals or anything similar to that that is fine.)

Are there any normal people that don't care about these things anymore? That only care about if they can have a good talk or good time with the person?

Can I get into a really good college if:

*I'm a great football player (Played varsity as a freshman, both sides of the ball varsity as a sophomore etc etc)

*I'm a great hammer thrower (Threw varsity as a freshman, won freshman state champion, well rounded thrower--Placed in a varsity pentathalon as a freshman)

Will end up graduating with at least a letter and 10 pins, possibly 11 pins (Which is 10/11 seasons of varsity sports)

*Sports editor of the school paper as a sophomore (This is pending, but the teacher really wants me to do it, she just promised it to someone else but she said she'd rather have me. So if not this year, than next year.)

*If I graduate with a 3.4 GPA in the top 50 or 60 of my class

*Taking all AP and Honors classes.

I'm in my sophomore year, the only thing that concerns me is my grades :(

Fantasy Football. Both play 1:00 games, ten points to good fast answers.

When I plug in my headphones, I can barely hear the sound, even with the volume on the highest it goes...I already tried this with four pairs of headphones...Does anybody have any advice? Please I love it so much, and I really hope its not borken....

How many starters do you play at Running Back and Wide Reciever....? I have Chris Johnson and I'm about to ad Arian Foster to my roster, but will I be able to play them both in one week?

I play guitar in a band with two other guys....The drummer doesn't really care what style we are, he just loves to play...Buuuuuut the other guy...Ehh not so much. He's a really good guitarist, but he's too good for his own good. You know what I mean? Like he doesn't realize that something doesn't have to be the next stairway to heaven to sound good. And another thing! He's so ignorant and not open minded at all! If he doesn't like something he says it sucks and were not playing it live. He doesn't respect my style or the music I like, even though I don't really like his, but I respect it and I'm willing to compromise with him. I'm a big punk and ska fan.....Oi! and Celtic punk and Ska Core and Ska Punk...And he hates it. He says its stupid, it takes no talent. I like bands like reel big fish, the dropkick murphys, flogging molly, mighty mighty bosstones streetlight manifesto street dogs the ducky boys...You know. And then I like bands like Minor Threat, bad brains, black flag slapshot the misfits, the dead kennedys.......All the good stuff. He likes music I don't care for, but that's fine by me. I am willing to compromise....But he's not. It pisses me off. All he does is bash on punk (which i looooooove) because it takes no talent. He thinks its stupid. He doesn't understand what it really is, but yet he still thinks he knows so much about music. He knows a lot about theory, but when it comes to genres....even mainstream ones.....Nothing. Oh and the worst thing of all........He cares about how people will think of us...I understand you don't want people to laugh at you, but other than that, who cares? Who really cares what people think? What should I say to him?

Like if I have a band, and we make a fan page....How do we upload mp3s onto that page with the music app thing on Facebook? Or something similar....I think that's what it is, a music app.

Not going into details about HOW it happened, but basically you could recreate it by taking a knife and lightly making a line accross the screen....There is NO change in appearance from the web page but its ugle and you can feel the indentation....What can i do to fix it? (Also what is a good way to clean the screen?)

Well I'm a white suburban kid. I listen to old school punk and ska. I have my studio all set, and two friends from the football team want to get in it and rap. I'm a drummer and I'm pretty good too, and I've got a really really good studio guitarist who will sit in with us, and if I need it I might get a studio bassist. I'm not going to play the crap like Kanye West and Lil Wayne, because they SUCK. I want to do some old school stuff like LL Cool J, Run DMC but more specifically the Beastie Boys. The album Check Your Head in particular. And I'm not going to be the one rapping, I'm producer/drummer on this. I need some advice and tips though, anyone have anything tosay?

Things to know about me:

I believe in a God, not necessarily all the stories in the bible BUT, I do value the many lessons learned in it and I believe Jesus was a great and fascinating person.

I am totally against the church, because it is hypocritical. They've killed, i dont care if it was in the name of god, they still did it.

I believe in evolution, so therefore I don't believe in genesis very much.

I think some of the stories like Noah's Ark have some basis in truth, but may not be verbatim.

I understand that he was crucified by the Romans, but how did he exactly die for our sins? What did he specificly do that caused him to be crucified that was for our sins?
