  • 1974 Jeep CJ5 T-15 transmission problems?

    I have a 1974 Jeep CJ5 with a T-15 Borg Warner in it. When driving around town, and you start to decelerate (take your foot off of the gas) while in 2nd gear it pops into neutral. You can then shift back in. I want to fix this but don't know what the problem is.

  • How do you shine the chrome on a Kirby Vacuum?

    I inherited a 1960's Vintage Kirby vacuum form my Grand father's estate. It sat in the back of his closet almost 20 years. I spent some time replacing the belt, and other wear and tear items on it. It still works great, but the finish on it looks rather poor. The luster is dull, and doesn't reflect anymore. I want to shine it up again and make it look presentable. I know it is made out of aluminum, and I don't know what the best course of action to take is.

  • Can you swap Subaru EJ22 engine from a 1997 Legacy to a 1993 Legacy with out changing the wiring harness?

    I have a 1993 Subaru Legacy with the 2.2 L and the head gasket went. I also have a 1997 Subaru Legacy with the 2.2. L, with a bad transmission. I was wondering if I can go and pull the engine out of the 1997 and put it in the 1993. Are the wiring harness the same? The engines are both the EJ22 engine. Could I just pull the good engine and put it in the car with the bad engine, or would I need to change the wiring?

    The problem with the 1993 is I caught the head gasket too late, and the bearings got damaged, so the whole engine would need to be rebuilt to be reused. The 1997 has a transmission that is shot, but there is too much rust on the car to consider repairing it. The 1993 is solid and in good shape.
