It's my grandparents. I'm not sure what to do about it.

I have two questions: These aren't my questions, but I am curious as to the results.

1. Do they really think that morality, and the ability to tell what's right and what's wrong, stems ONLY from their religion? I mean, you don't see every atheist in the world going around killing or raping everybody because they think it's right. Why do Christians think that people need the Bible in order to figure out that something like murder or rape is wrong?

2. "Why are Christians against population control?"

Subtext: I think of the "Every Sperm is Sacred" song from Monty Python as I ask this question. Many Christians inherently oppose such things as abortion, birth control, and homosexuality, all of which are seen often as methods of population control (although the last one is debatable). But would they rather people just keep making babies, when we already have over 7 billion people on this world? Would they rather let the human race grow so wild and out of hand that we'll exhaust all of our resources and eventually (and ironically) end up dooming ourselves?

The Bible doesn't count, because it is not a reliable source and is not overarching in all of society. It cannot be used to justify such an argument, because that would be like saying a movie is bad just because ONE critic says so.

Where you can answer questions, ask questions, etc. Preferably without the annoying daily limit.

Someone once told me that they don't and the built-in screen savers are more of a novelty than a necessity. Is this true, or do they still burn in like older monitors?

I was introduced, I won't say by who, to a fascinating website that guarantees that all homosexuals can be freed from their sin and turned straight. I sent this organization an email announcing that I find them liars and hatemongers who use fear tactics to get their way.

What do you think about the "Gay to Straight" movements? Do you think they're morally justified? Do you think they work?

I'm Atheist, but I've never held a deep hatred of religion. I had usually just gave my reasons why I don't believe it. For the past week or so, I've held very strong opinions against religion, and think it should be eradicated as quickly as possible (using reason and dialogue, of course). I'm adamantly against forcing anything on anyone unless they do it first.

Has this happened (or a similar occurrence) happened to you? If so, why?

I'm asking because I'm concerned this new way of addressing my beliefs is moderately clouding my better judgement. Instead of addressing why I think religion is wrong and nonfactual, my answers are directed towards why I think it's evil, immoral, and needs to go.

I'm trying to write a paper and I need sources. The bible is one of them. Anyone know how I would cite it in APA?

I keep seeing people ask if something (usually a rather menial task from what I've seen) is haram. What does that mean?

It's quite interesting.

I end up just lying down for an hour or so, tired, but not sleeping. I don't take pills, I don't usually have any pains or stress, and I can breathe easy. I just can't fall asleep when I need to, so I don't get much sleep.

What can I do to help?

I'm an Atheist lesbian and have very few Christian friends.

Most of the Christians I know are entirely anti-gay. There is a small group, however, that baffles me. There's a certain group of Christians all over that act as though they're all right with homosexuality, but don't want to hear or see anything about it. They want us to keep everything we do quiet and hidden.

Why?

I'm not Christian, I'm fine with you being Christian, and I don't care if you have your own movies, radio stations, and television channels. I know a lot of gay people and gay supporters go too far by trying to force everyone to like it. I'm not for that, but what's so evil about a show or movie centered about a homosexual person, or people? You're not forced to hear or see it, just like I'm not forced to watch the Catholic channel.

I'm not directing this to all Christians. The anti-gay probably aren't going to listen to me and I don't want to hear your pathetic excuses about why you think it's a sin. I like the Christians who are in support of homosexuality, you're great. It's just the group that's stuck in the middle that I don't understand.

I just noticed it today. She has a reddish lump on her underside. She was having swim bladder problems for a few days because I had given her a different food. I usually feed her peas and bloodworms because pellets and flakes make her swim irregularly.

Well, I tried flakes the other day, and now she's got a rather large red lump. She's swimming better when I fed her the bloodworms today, but I'm concerned. I've had her for over a year, so she's still quite young for a goldfish. The tank is well-maintained. Clean water, filtered, no really sharp objects, and it's planted.

It's my own first name- Cera. Besides a certain Michael's last name and a character from The Land Before Time, I can't find much about it as a first name.

Basically, what are its origins and what does it mean?

It's in between my breasts, as small as they are, and it's underneath what I think is the sternum on the rib cage. I can't pop it, it hurts, and doesn't look like it's going away on it's own any time soon.

I'm poor as dirt, so I can't get any expensive products, if there are any for this. It's driving me insane because things touching that particular region on my body make me feel very nauseous. I'm not sure why.

I just turned 20 and I live with my girlfriend. I attend college and I have a job that sucks.

I guess you could say I never the rebellious teenager phase. I still dye my hair brightish red, I don't dress fancy, I like to swear, I don't give respect automatically, I don't like being told what to do unless there's a good reason, etc.

I'm atheist, and I like to think about life, morality, etc. The heavy philosophical stuff. Sometimes it gets in the way of my personal life because I piss people off all the time. I like to debate religion, and that subject makes people upset with me because I tend to be rather blunt.

Normally, people not liking me is normal. It's gotten to the point, though, that even people in my classes hate me. An incident today involved note-passing. A childish, trivial way of expressing hatred, but some of the things people wished of me were horrendous.

I'm really trying to not let it bother me since I don't really care about any of them, but the way I've become is really starting to take a toll on my sanity. I've been having some really disturbed thoughts. Not like suicide, but more along the lines of murder.

I felt an incredible urge to push someone off a railing. They were sitting right on it as I passed, it'd be so easy to make it look like an accident. Obviously, I can't be doing that. Some people just bother me so damn much! People like me are rare to find anywhere except in the internet. Everyone around me except for my close family and girlfriend seem to stay in packs.

At the moment, I give them all my middle finger, but I'm really hoping I don't crack and join them. I'd rather die. (<- That's not a suicide threat)

Out of curiosity. You can be as vague as you want or you can be detailed.

I'm a twenty-year-old girl with dyed red hair I keep to my shoulders. I'm kinda pale with blueish-greenish eyes. I weigh about 120-something pounds, and I rarely smile unless I'm with my girlfriend or watching something funny. I guess you could call me small-framed, but I exercise and work out sometimes so I'm not all flimsy and weak.
