  • How do I return to original yahoo email?

I got a prompt asking if I wanted to have a theme for my email - I clicked on it and chose a theme. Now my email is totally screwed up! It won't tell me if an email is sent. After I click on send (which is now inconveniently down at the bottom and requires me to have to scroll down) I have to go to my sent file to see if it went through! It doesn't even say "sending" or anything.

This is taking forever! I hate it! I've tried and tried to find out how to go back and can't find anything! HELP ME!

  • Does anyone know how "Calendar" works?

Whenever I put a reminder in Calendar, it never confirms or acknowledges that it is there, so I'm left wondering if it will actually come up on the day scheduled for - it can't be relied on when I have no idea if it will work. There is no acknowledgement that it is there and when I go to the day in my calender, and look at the times, there is never anything listed at the time I've scheduled something. It usually does come up and send me an email reminder, but without comfirmation, I cannot rely on it. I used to use it as a convenient business tool, but no longer.

Another calendar problem: last year in August, I put in a one-time reminder - it appears each and every Thursday to torment me and Yahoo will not allow me to delete it. This was supposed to be a one time thing - not every Thursday for the rest of my life! My husband who is very good with computers tried to fix this and could not. Anyone know what to do?

BTW, I have changed my password, added a security image to sign-in, rebooted the computer several times, updated everything available, etc......still, on Thursdays - there the reminder is AGAIN! So, I'm getting an unwanted reminder, but unable to put in reminders I want that I can rely on! Any suggestions?

  • Why does Yahoo mail make me sign in every single time?

I have changed my password three times, I have checked the "keep me signed in for 2 weeks or until I sign out" box. I even made a personal sign in image because it said that would make my mail more secure AND the passwords I choose always say very strong. I've done everything, yet it continues to make me sign in to check my mail. This has been going on for a couple weeks. It used to only make me sign in every day - now it's several times a day whenever I check my mail......of course I've also updated all available updates and rebooted the computer many times.

  • How do I get rid of Yahoo Instant Messenger?

I don't mind the instant chats from friends in my address book - but it's driving me crazy that I can't just check my email without getting some disgusting person with a name like "delicious Joe" trying to contact me. Every single time I'm checking my email I get a pop up from some gross person who I have no interest in. I've tried a test - logging into my email and then logging out 6 times in a row and it never fails - some weirdo sends me a message that they "want to become friends" every single time. This all started recently and I used to only get one or two requests a week - but now IT'S 10 TIMES A DAY! I tried to look up how to get rid of this and all I could find was that if you have a yahoo email account you can't turn messenger off, is that true? If so, I guess I'll be forced to change to netzero or gmail. I won't tolerate this crap anylonger.

  • Ever since I upgraded my iphone, it downloads every single photo every time I download-that's over 500! Help!?

I had to upgrade my G3 iphone in order to use internet tethering. Ever since the upgrade, whenever I download photos, it downloads every single photo in the phone (500+) to my computer over and over each and everytime. I've found that I no longer am able to utilize the camera feature in my

phone because I don't want to have to take the time to sort through and delete over 500 photos just to

get the 8 new photos I've taken. Before the upgrade, it worked fine and only downloaded the newly taken photos that had not been previously downloaded. I've been on apple's iphone website several times and have found no way to contact them, plus have gone physically to an apple store and after waiting almost an hour for help, they just loaded a "settings" app on my phone and said it would answer my questions, it doesn't. They just wanted to get me out of the store since I wasn't buying anything and needed help.

Does anyone know how I can change it back to the way it was before without losing the tethering capabilities?

  • What is the point in living anymore?

I'm 47, happily married for 25 years (no children). No job, but have enough money to retire permanently if I want to. I live in the mountains and it's beautiful, but no nearby jobs to appease boredom. I have no reason to live and feel like I'm waiting to die, just filling in time. I do various things, love to cook, go for hikes, read books, etc....but it all seems so pointless. My husband loves me and is also "retired and bored". We have a motorhome to go travel, but neither of us "feels like it". There just doesn't seem to be any point in getting through each day. I've studied philosophy and religion all my life, I believe in "a higher power". I just don't know why I'm here on this earth, isolated in the middle of nowhere, with nothing to do. If I sold my house and moved somewhere else, it would just be the same thing because I'd be taking myself and this attitude with me. Last night I thought I should just kill myself and get it over with, although I would never do that to my husband, but I could see us doing it together. I just don't know what to do.

  • Why does my yahoo email say that my account is "unavailable" at this time and to check again later?

Does anyone know why I would suddenly not have access to my email? When I try to check it, it states that my inbox is currently unavailable, then says to click on Yahoo mail, but when I do that it comes up "page unavailable". I've restarted my computer, signed out from my yahoo page and signed back in and still get the same message, my husband has no problem getting his email on his computer - what's the problem?????? I can do everything such as click on horoscope, dear abby - everything except check my email!

  • The housing market is effecting our pets too! Family pets are being euthanized.....how can we help?

Most people who own homes, own pets. If they lose their home and are forced to rent - usually pets aren't allowed.

I'm told that all shelters are full and that pets surrendered by owners are put down within hours because the shelter knows no one will be coming looking for them and there is no room. When people find out that their pets will be euthanized - instead of surrendering them, they dump them in parks or rural areas. This problem is going to keep getting worse as more people lose their homes. My neighbor found a beautiful young yellow lab last night. He has a collar, but no tags. Owners will take the tags off but leave the collar on to show the dog is tame. A dog running loose along the roadside, has likely been dumped. What can we do to help? Donate $ to local shelters, volunteer, foster a pet - or take one or 2 in permanantly. They will reward you with unconditional love. We can't let this happen to our furry guardian angels. They need us...
