Hey guys, today i have just started learning french and i want to get fluent as fast as possible. So i was wondering if my plan sounds ok to you guys.

I will set 1hr aside a day for a minimum of 5 days a week, in that hour i will listen to a podcast from frenchpod101.com which basically teaches you small amounts of words and grammar in short 10 minute lessons (i will listen to a few of these) and then i will go to memrise.com for the rest of the hour which uses things like flash cards to boost your vocabulary. Both of these sites seem very good so far but if you know of any good free ones please suggest. I will also visit these websites if i have any extra free time aswell. So do you think that is enough to learn at a decent pace? Too much? Or just right?

Ok i will keep this as short as possible but i just want to see other peoples opinion on the matter.

So if a woman gets pregnant, for a variety of different reasons she can have an abortion and the man has no legal say in it what so ever. This is fair enough it is the woman carrying the child so ultimately it should be her choice. What i am wondering is why is there no male alternative to an abortion? Say if 2 consenting adults have sex and it then turns out the woman is pregnant, the woman is overjoyed but the man is less than happy about the situation, he suggests abortion and she declines so what then? The man now has the choice of raising the child or paying child support, which in my opinion is totally unfair and there should be an option for a "male abortion" where in the same timeframe you have for an abortion you can entirely denounce your rights and responsibilities for the child. Whatever your reason for wanting to keep or abort your child both genders should be given the same options as each other.

Ok im looking to join the army and im pretty unfit, I am wondering though should i be training everyday? Every website i look on for fitness and getting into shape stresses the importance of rest days, I have searched internet a bit and the opinions are mixed, Some people say well in the 6 months of basic training you will be training everyday so i would and others are again stressing the importance of rest days. I am only really doing push ups, pull ups, sit ups and cardio.

I was just wondering if somebody could tell me if they believe that i am too late to start training to join the special forces (SAS or SBS)? I am 20 years old and pretty dam unfit, I plan on dedicating a lot of time to training now anyway because i want to join the army or royal marines (have not decided yet). Can you only answer if you have some idea about fitness and entry requirments.

Speaking hypothetically what would happen if i were to travel to somewhere like Afghanistan, Track down and compile evidence proving somebody to be a terrorist and then kill them? obviously assuming i was caught doing this, Would it be treated in the same manner as a murder or do you think there is a possibility it would be "brushed under the carpet " and left to continue what i was doing?

Hey guys i am looking for a good workout routine i can do to help me for when i go for my physical and then basic training for British army, I am currently appealing my failed online medical assessment which is going to take around 6 weeks, So i have a fair amount of preparation time. I am in really bad shape at the minute so i need something that starts off light and gradually gets heavier, I can do 25 press ups until fail, 50 sit ups, 8 chin ups and run approximately down the street lol. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

hahaha creationists are so stupid, How can you believe in god i mean what created god, are you saying god just magically popped into existence? The obvious answer is the universe was the one to magically pop into existence, i know this because it is what current scientific beliefs tell me and even though they cant prove it i am going to take it on faith this is what happened.

before people say because i know they will i realise scientists do not believe the universe magically popped into existence, rather a near infinitely dense ball of mass imploded and blah de blah blah. but where did the ball of mass come from? and so on so forth.

so my question is how can one side view the others as stupid and illogical when neither can explain nor prove their own?

ok so the most basic human instinct is to survive, not as a person but as a species. So not only do we want to survive we want our genetics to survive and to do the we have sex, have children and then do all we can to protect and nurture them so they can the repeat the cycle. Being "horny" is just your brains way of making sense of this instinct and as men are able to reproduce nearly all the time there brain tells them they want sex whenever they can get it. Women on the other hand cannot reproduce all of the time so they are therefore not as sexually active as men, That is until Women reach their sexual prime usually in their late 30's, Which funnily enough is when they are nearing the end of their reproductive cycle and are nearing there last chance to have a child, They then become far more sexually active. so my question is that The rules of monogamy come from religion so why is it that some atheists try to abide these rules so strongly and frown upon those who follow these very primitive instincts? surely Evolutionists should follow there instincts (a basic principle of Evolution) rather than fight against them.

hey guys i have recently started working out and i dont really have a routine. The reason i have started working out is because i want to join the army and after a few years apply to the SAS. i dont need anybody to tell me how impossibly hard this will be i just want some advice for a good workout. i do not want to get huge but i do want to work my core strength,Endurance,Stamina and speed. is there any specific muscle groups you think i should be working on? What do you think is most important to work on? and how should i go about this? i currently do not have the money to go to the gym or to have the perfect diet. just incase it makes a difference i am 20. thanks in advanced much appreciated.

hey guy in september i am hopefully starting a btec lvl 2 course for engineering and i was just wondering if anyone could give me an idea of what i will be studying and what i should maybe start researching now??? thanks in advanced.

I have been told my whole life I am a pessimistic person, I myself do not believe this. Does everything have to be shiny and sparkly? Everything is what it is. The famous question is a glass half full or half empty? Is the answer not both? If a glass is full and you drink half it is half empty on the other hand if it is empty and you fill it half way it is half full, so my question is, is there a 3rd option? Can you be pessimistic or optimistic or the third realistic? Or is pessimistic just another word for being realistic?

For years now I have cursed "the creators" for how I am, the way I perceive life or events that happen before me, I do so like no other, I find that everything that makes sense to me make sense to no other, If I play a game of let's say chess I cannot think ahead, if I draw a picture I cannot "picture" how to draw it. There is nothing I am good at in particular, I find myself uncomfortable in the company of even my closest friends. Does anybody know how I can "train" my brain away from this? I feel I should add in school I was and still am suspected aspergers, I disagree with this though seems as I struggle with forward thinking. Anybody have an idea?

Ok I am wondering if there are any websites where I can conduct social experiments, were I ask a question and people answer it. I would use this website but I think we all know that half of the replies will be trolls. I was at first considering asking people outside on the street but it is a sensitive issue and I would not get honest answers. You are now probably wondering the topic and to satisfy your curiosity it is incest and other let's call them "taboo's", I am trying to prove taboo's are probably not so taboo as we think they are and we all probably have "wierd" fetishes. I have a lot of time on my hands right now so I am trying to make a case study different enough to be published in a small social science magazine. Any help is greatly appreciated and any genuine responses to the question in question would be even more appreciated.

I want to trace my family history and I am not sure where to start. I don't know much at all about my family and I don't really have a way to find this out either, I have basic information about parents, grandparents great grandparents and by this I mean names dob within 10-15 years and possible locations. I would prefer to do this for free or as cheap as possible any advice would be good. Thanks in advanced.

I understand that stars flicker and swap between blue/white/green/red, but there is a star I noticed yesterday a particularly bright one that is flashing a lot more than usual and becoming a much more vibrant green and red colour than usual. Does this happen sometimes? Is the star dying? Is there any other explanation for it?
