I have windows 7 ultimate 64bit atm

When i try to do the "Upgrade" option in the windows 7 SP1 installation

It says

"You need to have windows 7 SP1 to continue"

the hell? Isnt that what im trying to install

The reason im doing this is because max payne 3 keeps giving me BSOD's

Ive tried different compatibility modes, but to no avail.

Any way?

The reason why i ask this is because at school....when we download, i tested two different wireless adapters:

Using the same connection:

My friend's D-Link wireless adapter : Gets 1.8 Mb/s download speed on IDM

My Level-one wireless adapter: Gets 1.17 Mb/s download speed on IDM

So i was planning on getting a new adapter, so i just wanted to confirm whether it increases speed or not. And why is it that my adapter gets less download speed?

When i open Skyrim, its really fast in the first few minutes and then starts to drop at FPS of 11

a) GTX550ti looks very high end and stuff and i was wondering if it could really fit in my motherboard?

b) Do i need to worry about what bit it is? does not matter if i use a 128bit,192bit,etc blah blah...

I am planning to upgrade my videocard cuz i think the 9500gt is starting to get really shitty o.o

and im going to buy a 500W PSU when i buy the hd 5770.

a)So will the HD 5770 fit on my asus p5kpl-am? im pretty sure it will cuz it has a PCI express x16 slot

b) and it doesnt matter if my motherboard is ddr2 and the graphic card is gddr5 right?

but when i put them in my EXTERNAL DVD DRIVE.

i cant open the DVD in My computer, because it never loads.

Whenever i import the Action essentials 2 folder [ or just even a single .mov effect from the folders]

in After effects 7.0

i get "after effects: out of memory. (1K requested) (23::40)"

OR i would get "after effects cant continue" and then it would just crash.

or sometimes it would just crash randomly :/

And when i use After effects CS3.

I can import folders from Action essentials 2. But

when i drag and drop the footage on a composition or whatever.

The program hangs.

the game Red faction: guerilla laggs waay too much!

im sure my pc specs surpass the recommended specs

and yet i face some troublesome lagg even when playing at low!!!

any tips?

whenever i try to play the game [Prototype]

my computer just restarts and says

"reboot or select proper boot device"

i have checked my BIOS and have chosen all the correct devices

1st boot device: CD drive

2nd boot device: External DVD drive

3rd boot device: Floppy disk drive

when i change them in any order it still won't work when i play prototype it just restarts saying "reboot or select proper boot device"

i tried formatting it still doesnt work

i wanna play prototype smoothly HELP!
