I was just kind of wondering

My range is C3-B4, which is 1.9 octaves, and it's also in the tenor range (I think). I'm obviously untrained, though I want to take voice lessons; my patents won't let me:(

Like, a lot of people say that anyone can become a great singer, is that really true?

Take me as an example, I really, really want to be a good singer, but I know I have no real talent whatsoever. People tell me I have a nice sounding voice, I guess natural tone wise, but I have tons of pitch problems, and I know nothing about technique...though I'm in my school's show choir (I do not know how). And I really would love to take vocal lessons to get better, cause I really want to have a music career and I play guitar and tin whistle (though not that proficient), write lyrics (very well actually https://www.facebook.com/notes/saffron-sin/the-wid...

But my parents won't let me take vocal lessons... I don't exactly know why, probably cause they want me to do sports like everyone else in my family, but that is not me, AT ALL.

I'm not really sure,

My lowest note I think is about B2/C3

And I think my highest note is about g4

But I don't have the best pitch...

I'm most comfortable around my higher range

And in show choir I am tenor (except one song I was baritone) but there were only 5 guys in my show choir last year,.. And there were only two tenors

Like I really love singing, so much, and I do it all the time.. But I know I'm not very good at it.. Though I practice a lot, and I really Want to have a career ( I play guitar and tin whistle too), and I write music and lyrics (lyrics are my strongpoint). And my parents won't let me take vocal lessons
