I recently moved to the US to go to college, and my parents live in Europe. It's mostly my mom who is super-protective of me. She's always been very trusting of me and letting me sleep over at friends' houses or be out until 10pm/11pm on weekdays. But she would always check in on me around 10pm, asking me if I was gonna come home soon because she wanted to go to bed and "wouldn't be able to sleep if she didn't know I was home safe". I get that she's worried, and that she cares and loves me, but it's starting to become too much.

I'm in college, I live far from home, yet my mom expects me to call or what with her several times a week, and she has me text her every time I have an evening class so she knows I got home safe. When we haven't talked on skype in like a week she has dad call me to tell me that they "miss the sound of my voice".

College is hectic, and part of why I moved so far away was because I wanted to grow up and become independent (I'm really shy, and I've never given my parents any reason to not trust me), but I don't feel like they're giving me space to do that. I've tried telling my mom not to worry, or try to accept that I don't always have time for my old life while trying to start my new one, but she's not getting it.

What should I do? How do I convince my parents to try to give me space and start my own life? I'm soon turning 19 years old.

There is a song played in the background of the Sadie Hawkins dance, right in the beginning when Blaine and Tina are speaking. It's around 25:30. But I can't for the life of me hear what it is, all I can hear is something like "I can see illusions..."

Does anyone know? Please, this is driving me mad.

I'm writing a story about people's expectations but I'm not sure whether to write of or for. Help?

The sentence I'm writing goes like this:

"It's a story about teenagers facing the hardship and struggles of expectations; others' of/for them and their own of/for the world."

I'm writing a story and I want the person to shoot at the goal, but the goalkeeper blocking it, and then shooting again and scoring on the same ball so to speak.

Is it called comeback or double kick or something else...?

I'm planning to write a romance novel for a school project. But I have to fill a form about it.

It's been bugging me for days now, it's like a conversation between two guys (speaking in an accent, maybe Australian or something). I thought it might be from Flight of the Conchords, but now I'm not sure. Anyways, it goes something like this:

Man 1: "There is just one."

Man 2: "But what about that one?"

Man 1: "Yeah that's another one."

It's very vague I know, but I can't remember anything else. It might sound really boring but I remeber it as being funny, like a joke. Hope that helps :)

I know that the Sensation is supposed to be better, newer and all that stuff. But since I've never had a smartphone before I was wondering if it's really worth spending that extra money when I might not be able to tell the difference. Sure, in theory the Sensation is much better but is it really that much in reality or should I go with the cheaper choice?

Are you allowed to work in a bar in Los Angeles if you're under 21? Like 19 or 20? And if you do, do you get like punished for it/is there a law? Not drinking just working there?

I was wondering since I don't really know which one's the best for a beginner. I've heard a lot of talk of the two but different pages recommend different things. I was mostly looking at Casio CTK-691 and Yamaha PSR E323. Some say Yamaha has the better sound but maybe the difference in price changes things? (I would get them for the same price, second hand)

I found an interview on youtube which takes place during this festival in San Fransisco last summer and you can hear the music in the background. I really like the song in the beginning, like 0:15 up to 4:00 or something (I think the chorus starts at 1:02-ish). Does anyone know what song/band it might be? I'm writing a book and I'd want to find legends or folklore around geisha, samurai och japanese ghosts. Maybe something about a tragic love story between a geisha and a samurai? Or maybe their believes in ghosts and afterlife. I'd rather play by something real than just make something up from scratch.
