Assuming you were capable of "miraculously" increase your own mass after the initial jump, would that in any way alter the altitude or distance from a regular jump?

I've done several online surveys, read up on symptoms of disorder and whatnot. From what I see I seem to have many of the non neuro-typical traits often held by those who are either autistic or those who have an avoidant personality disorder.

I know that the last thing one should do when it comes to matters of psychology is evaluate themselves, so instead I come here to ask; Should I pursue this type of inquiries and take it to a real psychologist?

From the very first moment I openly stated that I did not believe in "God" or gods for that matter I have been accused of "hating" God. That I in fact think there is a god and that I only say I do not believe in him so that I can "sin".

I cannot fully comprehend this notion of presumed Misotheism, is it really that hard for a believer to understand that I simply do not believe?

But perhaps there is some sort of reasoning behind these statements that I do not understand, if there are any theists out there- wheter mono- or polytheistic does not matter. Can you perhaps explain the logic behind these claims to me so I can understand where they come from?

The keyboard on my laptop recently broke (some of the keys (F4, F5, 4, 5, R, T, F, G, V and B) has stopped to work and I fear I must've broken the keyboard matrix somehow while cleaning.

My backup keyboard is a cheap silicon keyboard, as I plug it in (usb) the computer fails to detect it (I hear the sound of the computer recognising a usb device but it does not work).

I assume that this is due to the computer failing to recognise and/or install a proper driver. However the keyboard being cheap lacks logos, names and details. As such I do not know where to find and what type of driver to get.

Any input and advice to solve the problem is most welcome.

There are many forms of religious positions, Atheism, Theism, Deism and so on. But are there any Theists out there that holds the position that a god, despite being real, is not worthy of worship?

Or is it so, that upon deeming the possible creator of the universe being unworthy of your devotion and praise. That a form of suspension of reason for the sake of one's belief is no longer warranted, and as such the unquestinable nature of a deities existence is now questinable?

I've been thinking that the Intelligent Design "movement" only tries to promote Christian ideas- but I don't really have a basis for this accusation. Therefore I'd like to get my hand on a textbook for the subject, know what it's really saying and so on.

If anyone got any idea where I can get my hands on such a textbook outside of the states (preferably cheap).

I've heard people say that they can close their eyes and see memories and what not, is this a normal ability to have? I mean when I try to imagine a place I do not see a picture in my head, instead I think words that describes the location.

I mean, let's say that I write down 100 events that I "predict" will happen, assuming I write it vague enough atleast 50% of these events should happen perhaps within 10 or so seconds after I've finished the list.

After all, some of the scriptures in the Bible are thousands of years old, mathematicly speaking, what is the chance that these predictions would not come true?

Now, from what I understand some Christians (I'm not saying all or even a majority) claims that a lot of bad events and disasters that occur in America is because of the Wrath of God. He is displeased because you Americans are so sinful or something, some reasons being that some Americans do not go against Gay Marriage etc (as I assume most members of this forum is Americans I guess I do not have to tell you).

Isn't Sweden a much more sinful country if compared to the U.S? Some examples of such nationwide sins would be:

* Homosexuality legal since 1944

* Gay marriage legal since 2009

* 85% of inhabitants Atheists/Agnostics/Non-Theists

* Only 2% of the Church of Sweden's 6,589,769 members regularly attend Sunday service.

Does this mean that Sweden is more powerful than God and therefore he cannot hurt us OR does it mean he doesn't care about us at all?

So, the goal of most religions are to reach some sort of Nirvana or Personal Enlightenment. Where the individual becomes one with the Universe / God / W/e.

So, more specifically, what is enlightenment. And how do you know you've reached it?

So, I've been browsing the internet but I've yet to find a clear answer. But for what line of work could one need to have studied philosophy? I mean, you cannot actually get work as a philosopher can you?

Now, to be honest I'm an atheist. So I'm just trying to make an observation of religion here.

As from what I understand religion is a placebo, it works because you think it works.

So in essence, if you think you are watched over by an Angel you might get that extra little energy kick to be able to recover from almost falling of a building.
