Upon logging in to Windows 7 (Home Premium) it stays forever on "Welcome" then it brings her to "preparing your desktop" then to a "temporary profile" from which she cannot access her files. Any suggestions? Thanks!

It is a Hama optical mouse and I bought it from a reputable store less than a week ago. Today, the left click function started acting up: it won't stay on for more than 3 seconds or so at a time. Please help!

in the last 3 or so weeks, on all the sites that require a login, my details are never remembered or recognized, so I have to type in the username and password each time, although I always check the "Remember me" or similar checkbox. (or, on Wikipedia, "remember me up to 30 days". It's becoming really annoying. Could anyone help? Thanks!

When signing in to my YT account today I had the following unpleasant surprises. Could some of you help, as YT help pages are anything but helpful :

1) my playlists are not showing in alphabetical order, but sort of random (not even in chronological order)

2) More annoyingly, some of them are not showing AT ALL in the new format. About one third are not showing at all.

3) I was somehow able to create a new playlist and add some videos to it. Guess what...it's not showing!

I'm grateful for any serious answers and helpful suggestions !

We're talking an ACER Extensa 5220.It played streaming videos and DVDs just fine but, about a month ago, it started overheating and switching off automatically after about 1/2 hour of playing a video.Two things are curious: a) it only does that with live streaming (like a TV station) or DVDs, not with Youtube (I can play a YT playlist for hours and nothing happens. Also I can do anything else one does with a laptop, for however long I chose, without it overheating) and b) my wife's laptop has no problems, so the temperature in the room does not seem to be the issue). Please help!

I'm not an American (much lest a West Virginian) but I have an academic interest in the issue. It was my understanding that the State Governor was supposed to nominate a temporary replacement for late Sen.Byrd. Now there seems to be some sort of legal vacuum which prompted the said Governor to call up an emergency session of the State Legislature. What exactly are the problems, what exactly are the options and how much is the process going to take?

How will they replace him? I thought all your officials were elected.If we're talking a temporary replacement by nomination, how much does such a process take?

I have an Acer laptop and today it has shut off for no reason three times in the last hour while I was working. Could this be a power supply issue or something else?

This morning the settings changed (maybe I inadvertently hit something ) and now my start page is one I don't need as such. How can I revert to my original settings? I knew how to do that in other browsers.
