What is the correct sentence diagram of the sentence. "Thank You?"?
Is it a shortened version of, "I thank you?" It doesn't seem right to me, since that describes a situation where as the phrase "thank you" does not seem to describe a situation. Of course it doesn't really make all that much sense any other way I can think of it.

7 AntwortenPsychologyvor 2 JahrzehntenHow do modern heros compare with ancient Greek heros?
The ancient greek religion centered around hero stories where heros sacrificed life or happiness with little in return. And they were always struggling against their gods. They were not ever trying to gain favor. They were many times victims of god's whims.
They weren't gaining everlasting life, or god's favor, or appreciation. Oedipus is a good example of that, as is Prometheus, Elektra, and Odysseus. Instead they were giving up everything based on what they knew to be right (or fame-sometimes).
Right and wrong were not determined by the gods at that point. So, what do you think that says about their religion and heros compared to modern religions and heros? And do you think their heros were more noble than ours, since ours expect heaven?
Which is why this is in the religion section. I don't want to hear any back talk about that. It's a pretty straight forward question.

Why is it hard to keep the bike upright when standing still and effortless when going forward. And the faster you're going the easier it becomes.
I don't see why angular momentum, angular acceleration, or speed would affect that.

Besides the obvious "it's the truth", I would like to know what beliefs are you most proud of and why.
Specifically, do you believe those beliefs make the world a better place, are they simply pleasing to god, or do they make you a better person. Or is it not of benefit to anyone.

I have been really tired for 3 weeks, and weak for the last 2 weeks, and it's not getting better, in fact, now I have muscle soreness, too. I don't know if it's related, but I've also had a headache everyday for the last 9 months. I don't know if these are symptoms that I should see a dr for, and what kind of dr., or how to find a physician that won't try and get me to take anti-depressants(I'm not unhappy) or pain medication. I'm wondering if it's just something nuitritional that I could fix really easily.

I wonder what the significance is. I myself would even prefer that Yahoo would have included some flaws to put on there. Why would I want a picture that looks like me(but in better lighting)? And why do some people prefer to be represented by pictures that do not reflect their physical appearance? Any theories?

I've heard that there has been alot of reform in residency requirements, is that true? How many hrs/wk do residents have to work? Are there variations depending on where you are a resident? I'm really afraid that I would not be able to stay up for as long as I've heard of people working and still be an effective doctor. And I'm married and I don't want to wreck that. I do like working long hours and would like to have a busy job.

I have a BS and I worked at a company doing organic synthesis for one and a half years. It was too dangerous. I want an interesting job where I can problem solve.
Things I've thought of are:
1)Go to med school, but it bothers me that doctors hardly even get to see their patients.I've heard that after insurance and paying for staff they can sometimes make little to no money. I'm not greedy, but I need more than 20k/yr, esp after student loans.
2)Grad school for chem, but I have no patience, I wouldn't make a good professor. I think I'd love grad school, but hate the jobs I could get from there. Lab work is too dangerous, I've lost my nerve
3)Pharmacy school, pharmacy doesn't seem like an interesting job, it just makes alot, which is appealing because if I didn't like it I could just work less
So, does anyone have anything to add to these options, or input on the jobs I've listed. I'm really stuck and would appreciate the help
