  • Prior question asking "Would you die to save the one(s) you love"?

I'm interested in a different perspective on this question, which I know has been asked before because I just answered it.

What I would like to know is, if YOUR loved one died saving your life how would you feel?

I answered the original question saying that, yes I believe I would die to save my husband's life. But, for example, if he pushed me out of the way of a car and died in my place because of his actions, how would I feel? Would I be mad at him for leaving me?

    How would you feel?

  • What do YOU consider to be Middle Class wages?

I'm interested in your personal opinion, not in what economists say. In your mind, people who make 'X' through 'Y' dollars per year are considered Middle Class.

  • Ideal Dem & GOP party tickets for November election?

It appears unlikely that Obama will choose Hillary as his running mate. And McCain hasn't made his selection yet either. So for each party, who do you think would make the BEST running mate choice?

    McCain/Romney?

    McCain/Huckabee?

    McCain/Rice?

    McCain/Powell?

    McCain/Paul?

    McCain/Crist?

    McCain/Jindal?

    Obama/Pelosi?

    Obama/Bayh?

    Obama/Biden?

    Obama/Bloomberg?

    Obama/Richardson?

    Obama/Hagel?

Or other combinations? What do YOU think the best ticket would look like?

  • Honest question; Hoping for honest answers?

This question pertains to gay marriage. I am interested in knowing why gays want the right to marry? Given that the "sanctity of marriage" isn't so sanctified at all, and that divorce rates run around 50%, why exactly do you want the right to marry?

Is it that you believe in the holy sanctity of marriage? Or are you really just interested in the legal rights marriage affords a couple? And do you want the right to marry legally or do you also want the right to marry in a church?

This question is not meant to insult anyone, and I hope that it hasn't. Thank you for answering such a personal question.

For the record, I am a heterosexual female who believes that concenting adults have the right to a happy and loving relationship. But I believe that marriage is a holy union between a man & woman. I'm asking my question so that maybe I can better understand others.

Does anyone work for a company that is taking steps to help you offset the rising costs of fuel prices?

If so, what are they doing?

Gas cards? Encouraging car pooling? Wage increases?

  • America's most popular book is the Bible?

Granted, this newest survey only asked around 2,500 people in the USA, but how many people do you think answered "The Bible" because they thought that was what they should answer?

Do you think most people answered this survey honestly?

  • Should those running for President have to relinquish their existing office?

In the USA, we have 3 serious contenders for the office of President. Each of them is a currently seated senator: Clinton from NY State, Obama from Illinois, and McCain from Arizona.

These 3 states are not getting the much needed attention of their elected officials because they are all too busy running a campaign for president. Should there be a law that would require a senator (governor, rep, etc...) to resign their current political seat if they choose to run for another office during their existing service period?

    2. Was the purpetrator of the crime caught?

    3. Did the accused stand trial?

    4. Were you present during the trial?

    5. Was the accused found guilty or not guilty, or did the accused plea bargain out of the trail?

  • Vice President for 2008 Election?

If John McCain wins the GOP nomination, who do you think would complement him best as VP?

If Hillary Clinton wins the Democratic nomination, who do you think would complement her best as VP?

If Barack Obama wins the Democratic nomination, who do you think would complement him best as VP?

Regardless of who you think should be president, please give me your opinions on who you think would compliment each nominee and make them the strongest ticket for the White House. Thank you.

  • And then there were 2?

With the Dems still showcasing Obama & Hillary, the GOP has joined the "down to only 2" ranks with Romney bowing out.

Do you think that McCain & Huckabee will continue the race, or let everyone know immediately that they will be the GOP ticket with McCain for president and Huckabee as VP? Do you think there is any reason for the GOP to continue the primaries?

  • You do realize that Congressman Keith Ellison & Senator Barack Obama are not the SAME person don't you?

Congressman Keith Ellison (Democrat from Minnesota) and Senator Barack Obama (Democrat from Illinois) are NOT the same person.

Ellison is the person who refused to swear his oath of office on the Bible! He recreated his oath of office swearing in using the Qu'ran.

Obama used the Bible to recreate his oath of office swearing in.

Do people purposely mix these 2 men up in an effort to discredit Obama? Or do people really not understand that these are 2 different men?

  • While we are on the topic of US politics?

Regardless of your political affiliations, I'm interested in knowing what political tickets (both parties now) you feel would best represent the country in the elections.

For the record, I'm a registered Independent who votes in every election.

I think the Democrats would have the strongest ticket if they nominate Obama for President with Clinton as his running mate.

I think the Republicans would have the strongest ticket if they nominate Huckabee for President with McCain as his running mate.

I'm not asking who you are "rooting" for, just interested in which combinations you think would best represent each party to the voters.

  • Question for people who plan to vote in the presidential (USA) elections?

First, I assume (always a dangerous thing) that most people will agree that one of the jobs of the USA president is to interact with other foreign countries. And I assume that most people will agree that part of this interaction will include setting foreign policy and promoting viable diplomatic relations.

Now I am also going to assume that most people realize that there are a significant number of countries in this world who treat women as second class citizens and will not have any substative dealings with women.

So, if the USA elects a woman as President, how will this change foreign relations and how will this hinder the USA's ability to interact with a large segment of the world's population?

  • How do they determine what TV shows to show reruns of?

There are a lot of old shows in reruns. But how do they pick them? And why are some of them never shown (at least where I live). I would love to see old episodes of Mod Squad, Emergency, Hawaii 5-0, MacMillan & Wife, etc.... but can never find them on any of the 300+ channels we get on cable.

  • Why does our mainstream media (radio, TV, Newspapers, etc...) never mention Ron Paul for President (USA)?

First, I'm interested in knowing if people know who Ron Paul is? And second, I'm interested in why you think that our mainstream news media (USA) never (that I've heard/read) mentions his name or candidacy.

  • Children raised in alternative families?

This question is NOT asking for your opinion about homosexuality. So if you just want to rant about immorality or sin, please spare this Christian your holier-than-thou attitude.

Whew, now that the disclaimer work is done -- here's my question.

Today's society is far more accepting of alternative lifestyles. The days of Ward & June Cleaver are long gone. I'm sure that most of us believe that children raised in a stable loving home environment have the best chance of becoming productive, well-adjusted citizens.

Now, do you believe (or have personal experiences to share) that these children in stable loving homes are negatively impacted if they live in a homosexual home versus a heterosexual home? All things being equal, what unique challenges do children raised by a gay couple or lesbian couple have that children raised by a heterosexual couple do not encounter?
