Alone in a world where I’m not understood

Developing from a stage once called boyhood

Embracing this new world with my arms open wide

Getting pushed out to sea with the high tide

No one knows where I stand or how I feel

Just leave me alone so I can seize the wheel

Don’t you understand that I’m all alone

Yet you still pressure me into an intolerable zone

Alone in a world where I am desecrated

Having my personal feelings and life violated

Not being able to express myself

Pressured to be a trophy son that one finds on a shelf

Wanting to breakout of a life unknown

Not approachable by those I call peers
