How can we trust the election results with electronic voting machines?
Watch this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Q9NSVUu8nk
As you can see, no matter who he selects, the machine just changes his vote . . . he claims it is just because the machine needs to be recalibrated, but when he recalibrates it in order to demonstrate how the machine works when corrected, it continues to distort his vote! These machines don't even give you a paper recipt, there is no way to ever know whether you actually ended up voting for the person you wanted to . . .
What do you think about this?
2 AntwortenElectionsvor 1 JahrzehntWas Bill Clinton also a socialist?
People are calling Obama a socialist for wanting to raise taxes on the rich (over $250,000) and lower taxes for everyone else. But according to Obama, the tax rate he intends to apply to the wealthy is the same as it was under Bill Clinton. In otherwords, Bush cut taxes for the wealthy, Obama says he intends to undo these cuts.
Therefore, if Obama's tax policy makes him a "socialist", and that tax policy is essentially the same as Bill Clinton's tax policy, doesn't that make Bill Clinton a "socialist" as well?

If the South had won the Civil War, and America were divided in two, how do you imagine these two halves would be different from the USA today?

Feel free to answer as you will. Intuitive answers are as welcomed as rational/evidence-based ones. The question is: do you feel we have a free press? Do you feel we ever had a free press? If so, what is different today about the press than in the past? Do you feel the press is biased? If so, what do you think the source of that bias is? Etc.
Looking forward to hearing your opinions.
