Hi I own several Canon APS-C sensor camera (cropped, x1.6)

Primes seem to have excellent picture quality. And so does L glass.

What I would like to know is : how much is the difference?

What I am looking for is a cheap general purpose lens. I have used prime before (50mm,85mm)and

satisfied more than zooms. Is there any prime that is as good as L?

I enjoy photography . I would like some inspirational idea on what macro subjects, composition ideas i can perform. Thanks in advance.

I am normally used to using a Yashica Fx-3. When it comes to being creative, digital is not my friend. I have taken photos with digital cameras such as Canon 500D and yet not really satisfied. Its probably me. So I was thinking of adding a digital camera along with my film cameras and honestly I am a bit puzzled.

Everyone seem to suggest the Nikon D40. This costs same as a Nikon d3000. People also suggested me the D5000. I would like to know how bad is D3000. I am not interested in HD videos. I am concerned with quality of the photos taken. And also the money. The D3000 fits my budget well. Just want to know how bad is it. Or am I better off with a D40. or a D3000 with a good lens.

I used to remember I could wake up all night and study or work and create programs like crazy ( I am a programmer ), was motivated and I never felt lazy to work on anything. I use to open up my PC and laptop and clean every device and my own room. Now, deadlines passes, I feel sleepy at 11:30, more depressed than before, haven't clean my room in months or the PC. You get my point right? My brother said that its the age. I am getting old.....

What shall I do.....?

I have been using Fedora cores and Suse as well as Windows for a long time. Even though there are many opensource softwares which work on all platforms, my question is when will Opensource software replace existing commercial level software. I mean I found no powerful Opensource alternative to dreamweaver on Windows XP. Found no powerful enough PDF writer but I am still trying hard to stay OpenSource.

Me and few of my friends are contributing in reducing the Digital Divide by placing Computer,Net and training camps on remote areas. We are trying to keep our costs down through OpenSource software. Can you please provide a list of Opensource software that works in Windows XP SP2 which are needed to teach children things such as HTML, PHP, VB etc.

I used to use a Pentium D 805 2.66 , I found it to be pretty ok. I never had any trouble. But now I have the chance to ship into a Core2 duo. My options are E6420 or E6550 or E6600. If you are a good computer nut then you will realise that something is in E6550 which is 1333Mhz FSB instead of usual 1066. How much performance impact it might cause. oh!, MY Motherboard is GA965GMS2 and using 512x2 DDR2 800 on dual channel. I heard that 1333 Mhz bus may effect the durability of 965 boards, In that case should I use a P35? Just give me your opinion.

I own three motherboards a 101ggc , Intel 965 and an Gigabyte 965 S2.

I cannot seem to increase or find any option in the BIOS to increase the shared video ram. Both GA 965 and the original intel 965 motherboard have no option for increasing the video memory shared from RAM. THis is Strange !!!

Checked mannual , increased aperture size to max, updated BIOS.

Or is it dynamically adjusted, you know takes as much as needed from the ram ? Games run slow, even worse than my xpress 200 chipset based 101ggc.

You tell me what can I do now...( all systems have a GB of RAM )

I have a server that is used to distribute internet lines to other people (main line connected to server > server gives out a line to the switch and switch lets about 32 people connect) . I have a bandwidth of 1 MB/s. Some people uses software like DAP and limewire and takes the fullspeed leaving the other users at byts/second. Is there a software I can use to control the speed of the network.

I recently reinstalled Xp Home on my Dell inspiron 1150. I downloaded all drivers including dell quickset and notebook system software off Dell's support and download page and did all according to instruction. All is ok. BUT now when I go to Control Panel > System , the DELL Logo and Inspiron 1150 is not showing any more.

How do I put it back? Any registry hack or something? Any weblink?

I use a P4 2.4 A (478 pin), murcury 865 pearl motherboard and DDR 400 ( 512 MB ram ). And a 256 MB AGP ( geforce 6200 - NV44A)

I found out after buying that the crapy 6200 , it runs at 64 bit. So I decided to overclock it. I overclocked only 50 mhz on both memory and core( used Nvtweak) . Later after 3 or 4 hours I put things to default. NOW, the windows runs ok. But if i run a game, the screen frezees and restarts. Tried the AGP on an original Intel 865 GBF board. the AGP is fine. My motherboard can't handle 3D apps anymore. Is it possible that i corrupted the intel chipset by overclocking?? is it possible to flash that chip ( not the bios , its ok)

I need the name of a new board ( 865 chipset intel) and would like to know if ATi9550 or 9600 runs at 128 bit.

I mean , you see so many security holes in so many places. Its hard to constrain yourself away from these great explorations and how can you not become EVIL? Programming turns you EVIL.

And I am sure girls stay away from programmers because they are kinda afraid we gonna invade their secrets.

What are difference in Data speed and are there any advantages?

Remember at the end of 98 All Vodoo dissapeared.The Last one was i Think Vodoo 5 5500 AGP. Glide chipsets are good stuff. What happened to the Company?
