We signed a contract for building a new home in March 2010. It was not scheduled to be completed until July so we didn't think much about the tax credit since we would be past the dead line. Now that we've found out that the closing deadline has been pushed to Sept 30th there is still hope. I make more then the allowable MAGI limit, 170k/year, and already own 2 properties. On the other hand my fiance is well within the income limits and is a first time home buyer. I put 41k and she put 5k down on the house and we are equal stake holders in the 190K mortgage. Will she qualify for the $8,000 tax credit?

I've spent plenty of time with 2 stroke outboards and know what kind of thrust I'm going to get for the hp. I bought a little 14' aluminum boat with a max 67” beam and put a little late model 8 hp 2 stroke Merc I had on it that I had been on a smaller boat. It does ok and can plane with just me in the boat, and sometimes even with a second person, but doesn’t have the top end speeds I’d like. I had 3 guys out fishing and it was a dog. I know a 15 hp 2 stroke would do fine but have heard that the new 4 strokes don’t have the torque. I’m thinking about getting a 15 or 18 hp (Merc or Nissan) 4 stroke. But don’t want to be disappointed when I have 750 pounds of guys and gear onboard. Any one have any experience with this size 2 and 4 stroke or have any suggestions. Thanks

I was watching a news story on one of the cable news networks about the horrible new energy drink Cocaine. I heard from the commentators: how dare they call a drink that and it should be taken off the shelves. Then in the same commentator mentioned how when he was a kid all there was was Coke and Pepsi. I’m pretty sure that Coca-Cola was named for its original main 2 ingredients, the Coca plant from which Cocaine is derived and the Cola bean. I just thought it strange that a doctor’s argument over a publicity stunt was so hypocritical. Any thoughts?

I understand it gives you a bigger foot print, but I guess I want to know if it gives a huge advantage on lose gravel. Does it also give a better torque ratio like with smaller tires?
