Have been working for 13 years and need to renew my tax credits over phone but one of the security questions is when did you first claim Tax Credits and i cant remember when they changed from family tax credit to tax credit so bye bye we cant continue this call. Madness.

Doing family tree research and an aunt has told me my great grandfather escaped from the Black and tans in Ireland to Hartlepool. He then joined the Spainish war ?? but not with the British army - may be some type of mercenary. What was this Spainish war.

He was in the first world war too - Name Edward O`Neill

Any help would be fantastic as im back to 1624 on one side but totally stuck with this side

i cant sleep as im worried sick. 4 girls have all pretended to be sleeping at each others houses. but when i rang her friends house to check on her - as her mobile was off - the penny dropped. so they`re all in trouble

I tired to find any other friends numbers in her room and found her homework diary with "friday allnighter" in it. so it has been planned. I want to ring the police but have no clue to where they could be and she may be at another girlfriends and i would cause this big search

I am totally freaked as i dont believe in ghosts but i can remember my imaginary friends name from being a little kid. I typed in name into ancestry a family lived in the same village in 1841. The surname was Hee. i can remember he was scruffy black all over and was about 8. He was always in the coal shed outside!! I was always amazed that my mum would let him come into the house to play as he was so scruffy. He told me he was leaving because we changed from coal to coke.???

That reason has always baffled me. If he was imaginary why would i make up that reason for him to go as i was only 5.

I recently sent a card to my black friend and didnt want to stick the stamp on-it was a picture of a black man -a "free slave". I think these stamps are totally inapropriate - Surley people dont want reminding that its only 200 years ago we stopped using slaves

I read a good letter on the local paper from a pub landlord - how he`s had the pub 30 years and how his old regulars cant believe that they could marry their mate they meet for a pint but cant have a ciggie with them.

I have paid my council tax every month without missing it. On the 1st April this year my ususal ammount came out of my bank on time. I have since had a summons to court for this coming years tax as they said i owed £28 from last year. Therefore my payment wasnt enough . and they are charging me £60 court costs. I have been to their offices and they said i dont have to actually go to court just catch up but the £60 still has to be paid.

Like bank charges i think this is totally unfair and they are a law unto themseves-

Its only may and the full ammount shouldnt have to be paid until 31st March 2008.

Anyone got any legal advice for me?

while flicking through channels this programme title stood out and i watched it in disbelief.......it was on the teachers tv channel showing how they were trying to find a more mixed race school in bradford for this poor 10 year old boy, who was the only white kid left in his whole school. He was called a "porkie" by the other kids as he ate pork and wasnt a muslim. His two sisters were trying to make friends by joining the local mosque and dressing in burkas so that they "fitted in"

It was very distressing viewing - how long before we are the minority?
