I saw an answer to a question a few minutes ago in which the author (D A) stated that the Yahoo Toolbar was packed with spyware and when he/she removed it from his/her computer, it seemed to run much better. I just wondered if anyone knows how true his statement was?

I decided to change pics again only now I can't see anything but a white box with a red cross in it. Right clicking on it and clicking on 'show picture' doesn't work. Anybody know what is up with that? I have even used the selected pic before as my avatar on here!

I sent an email message to another user on Yahoo Answers by clicking on the email this person link on their profile page. They then replied to it and I just wanted to check out exactly what I had said in my message so as not to get 'crossed wires'. Unfortunately, it appears that once you have sent your message through Answers there is no way to go back and re-read what you said.

Or is there? Any helpful advice would be good!

When I decide to have a look around different categories and I am on the questions list page, it never shows me the correct number of answers to each question. Even if I refresh the page, the number is more often than not still incorrect.

Sometimes I will be the first to answer a question yet when I go back to the list, it still says 0 answers! So, I refresh the page but still I get 0 answers!

Does anybody know why? Have I got one of the settings wrong in Internet Options or something?

My guy is reading a Patricia Cornwell novel at the mo and last night he asked me what on earth a 'tow head' was! I had never heard of it before so I looked it up in the OED but, alas, to no avail.

The character in the book was telling her fictional partner that she had seen several young guys at the beach and she said that all of them 'looked like tow heads'?

Anybody got any ideas?

Charming. I was the only person who bothered to answer. This was probably due to the fact that most believe she should be doing her own research for the answers to her homework!

My answer was a bit long-winded granted but at least it covered the answer to her question from every angle.

One minute she was playing happily on it, then I said Come On it's bedtime and she closed it up and went off up to bed. She would have told me if it had stopped working whilst she was playing on it. The touch screen is simply not working at all and upon start up the first screen normally says to touch it to start. This has also disappeared. I love all things grammatical and language related. Recently I have noticed something being used, mainly in reporting style writings, which I cannot remember ever learning about! It is where the writer is reporting on something that someone else has said or re-stating something already written and they do this - [His] attention was twice called to the warning signs. So what do the [ ] 's denote?

Well that's it really! One day the CD burner worked fine and then the next day it stopped working. However, the burner programme still runs as normal and says all the "Writing to disk" stuff etc and then "Burn completed successfully" but it doesn't make the right, or indeed any, noise whilst in the burning process and the disks come out blank?

Anyone got any ideas?

I bought a brand new battery pack and charged it up like the instructions told me, then put the battery on my pc as normal. It went on fine but now it is stuck and no matter what I do, I just cannot get it back off again! Anyone got any ideas? (Sensible ones not just random ideas!)

Now I realise there is a text chat facility and I definitely know that they are not the voices in my head (coz they speak with a different accent! She set her password and it worked fine. She then lost her two front teeth and can't say the password exactly the same, so it won't open! Can anyone tell me how we can reset the password ? I have tried taking out the batteries and then replacing them to see if it would re-start, but it didn't work! She is driving me barmy coz she "wants to get into iiiiiiiiiiittttttttt!!"

Why do some people insist on driving really slow? Don't they realise that driving in an over-cautious manner is as dangerous to other road users as driving like a maniac? People get so annoyed they get road rage and end up driving too close and erratically trying to get past. And those numpties who won't dare to go in the right hand lane on the approach to a roundabout when they are going straight on, why why why? And woe betide you if you dare to do this and then overtake them whilst on the roundabout!! Grr.... is it just me, or does this wind everyone up?

OK, I just don't get it. What the f*** is WWF/WWA (or whatever else this stupid activity masquerades as!) all about? I just watched UFC and that is about guys with true fighting ability trying to be the best in the world at what they do but this wrestling sh*t......... I just don't get it. The participants in the shiny lycra cycling shorts, acting and hamming it up for the 'hollering' crowd, do they just decide between themselves who is going to be next to pretend to lose?? Please, if there is one, can anybody tell me what the point is?
