I have been having knee pains constantly for about a month now. I haven't been ale to pin-point any cause or reason, Let me explain: The pains are beginning to become less intense in magnitude when I try to stand up. However, while walking, sometimes a shooting pain will hit my knee and I almost fall down. It feels like an electrical impulse hitting me. Some people think that it may be a pinched nerve because of the way it reacts.Right after the initial pulse, the knee begins to ache and throb. Upon standing the shock and the pain usually hit together -- like a one/two punch. If I don't fall, the knee just buckles and hits me with throbbing pain. The throbbing continues, sometimes for minutes, sometimes for hours. The only thing I can think of doing to minimize the pain is to take some aspirin and rub it with icy Hot and sometimes I try Lanacaine, which may or may not work. I am not the kind of person who likes to complain, but I think I can take pains as well as the next guy, but this situation is really driving me off the wall. So I really appreciate ANY help from any knowledgeable person out there or anyone who has suffered a similar malady and managed to work it out without the dreaded hospital. Hints: I'm, wondering if it is at all possible that drinking an excessive amount of liquids --including colas-- in which I indulge heavily, although not every day (and I ask myself, "Why Now?" I've been drinking sodas all my life! Does anyone have a clue??!!??

Well, I don't need to tell you why, guys, but I think you have a hint where I'm going with this. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Any personal advice is also welcomed. We are the proud owners of a Belgian malinois. Unfortunately she just came down with UTI (urinary track infection) as well as hook worms. When we saw the vet, he highly recommended that she needs to lose weight (the dog, that is ;->

The two choices available are: Hills Science Diet (C/D) or The Missing Link For Dogs.

If anybody's vet proposed some other brand of prescribed food, i would appreciate it if you let us know.

I have a problem. Being a foreigner- I'm from Argentina- i sign-off my emails to friends most of time with a warm "...all my love"....or something similar and meaning- in the literal sense of the word, absolutely nothing-. However, my girlfriend/fianceé had a fit when i used that term recently. Does anybody out there have a similar experience happened to them ?...secondly, does anybody knows a better way to explain that in our culture we do express or sign off like that and yet mean NOTHING by it.

Maybe one of you guys can explain it better than i did. :-(
