Here's what I propose: Have the government bailout the mortgage companies by purchasing their bad debt at a 20% discount and then re-negotiate the loans with the consumer to pay the balance a 0% interest over 50 years with no early payment penalty? If the consumer defaults payments on that generous deal, the government takes possession of the property and sells the property on the open market. That way, the banks get liquidity and their costs decrease in that they don't have to waste money sending default notices, etc., the homeowner is happy because they get to stay in the house and actually might be able to afford the house which they were erroneously advise they could afford by realtors when they couldn't. The government is happy because they'd be receiving cash when normally, typical government spending is even less profitable (look at the price paid by governments for toilet seats).

Quite possibly, the only unhappy people would be attorney's because no one would be able to afford one. I'm all for keeping attorneys being miserable. Would you buy this investment? What other solutions might there be given that declaring random wars on countries doesn't seem to have work in USA's current political administration?

Wouldn't that be cool? That would mean the corporations would have to pay us to get in the market. Would you consider investing in the market if that were to occur?

diminish shareholder wealth???? I ask this because I am trying to understand how is that CEO's are getting outlandishly high salaries. How is it possible that a CEO can come in a company (i.e. Shearson Lehman Brothers) and in less than a month receive a "severence package" of millions? Is the press exaggerating this? If not, that means the shareholders agreed to this at some point right? Why would a board of directors allow a company's equity to diminish by millions like that when it clear undermines shareholder wealth?????

Is there an Anti-trust issue with Apple, creators of the iPhone, and AT&T given that if a person purchases an iPhone, they are forced contractually to do business with AT&T and required to be locked in contract terms?

I want to see the Yankees and the Mets in a day. The Yankees game starts at 1pm; the Mets game begins at 3:55pm...on a Saturday.

Assuming the Yankee game ends in less than 2 hours 30 minutes, it appears I'm going to miss part of the Mets game. Is the subway the fast way to Shea from Yankee Stadium? What lines and how long would it take? If I took a cab, how much time would I save over the subway assuming typical Saturday traffic and how much would that cost?

I notice that as I "graduate" to a higher level, my opponents are always rated slightly higher than me (i.e. I'm a 1100 my opponents are 1275 rating).

What is the highest rating? 2,000? 4000? 10,000?

The rap is similar to eminem's style of rap with some political undertones in the lyrics.
