I just wanted some feedback on the name Brayson Maverick for a baby boy. What do you guys think?

My mother always told me that if you eat cabbage on New Years Day , you will have money all year long. I always make cabbage. She also says black eyed peas will work. Or, if you make a pair of pillow cases on New Years Day will bring you good luck too. Any more old wives tales out there?

First of all, i know some of you will say to consult our vet. I have been to the vet twice this week already. I just seen the fleas tonight. My chihuahua got attacked by a collie when i took her for a walk. She was hurt pretty bad. Is taking medication that makes her sleep and rest. She takes her Sentinel heart worm and flea preventative monthly. Never missed a dose. I saw 2 fleas crawling on her tummy tonight. Am not sure what to do about that. I cant bath her because of her injuries. Anyone have any suggestions?

Opinions wanted on how to care for my golf cart batteries in the winter. Should I charge them once a month through the winter( I live in Northern Indiana), or should I take the cables off for the winter.

Ive had some issues with my vet in the past. Decided not to change vets just because he has been our vet for years.Now, a new issue has come up.I have a 7 month old chihuahua. I had her at the vet and asked them for a price to have her spayed. They gave me a price in writting of $124.00. So, as the economy is bad right now and all, I decided I could afford this. Today was the big day. Today , they gave me a bill of $242.00. No complications. Anyone out there had a dog spayed lately? what did your vet charge you. Oh, she weighs 6 pounds

I had an old Kingston sewing machine that says Kingston Deluxe on it along with the numbers H310579. It worked great until I broke the needle. My husband bought me a new sewing machine.The old Kingston has been in storage. Now my daughter would like to learn to sew on it.It belonged to my Grandmother. The problem is, we cant find a needle to fit it. All the needles we can find are round at the top and we need one that is round on one side and flat on the other. Does anyone know where we could find a needle to fit?

My doctor said not to eat red meats and fried foods.Does red meat mean just beef? Or is pork also considered a red meat. I know I need chicken and fish, but, which category is pork in?

We used to play this game throwing dice. Now, we forget how to play. In the game, you have to get 1,000 points to get on the board. If you roll 3 ones, its an automatic 1,000. But, we cant remember how to score the other rolls. Has anyone ever played this and can tell us?
