Ok, I bought my step-daughter a gerbil for Valentines day. We brought it home from Petco, fixed up the cage, water, food, the whole works. Well, she hasn't eaten or drank anything since we got her. Also, when I got her out of the cage for the second time (yesterday), my step-daughter kinda reached to pet her, and she jumped bit me and the oddest thing happened. I wasn't holding the gerbil by the tail, but when she bit me, I almost dropped her and kinda grabbed toward her, and all the fur of the tail seemed to "shed" like a lizards tail would come off, except just the hair, but there was alot of blood. I have never seen this happen before and was wondering what could be wrong with this gerbil? Could it have been sick when we got it? and maybe the lack of eating/drinking could have caused the thing with the tail? I am very devistated, as this is her first pet. We have a very healthy hampster, and my husband has had gerbils, and never anything like this!?

My Mom is having some problems. She called me today and says that she can't get rid of this static. Every time she touches anything metal it shocks her. Last week she answered the phone and shorted out the phone, so they had to buy a new one. Now every time that she is shocked or shocks something - she says it is really hurting her. She is using dryer sheets to pick up the phone, but says it is shocking her through the sheet. She has sprayed anti-static spray all over the carpet, furniture, hair, and clothes. This is not helping either. The shocks have began to leave red marks on her fingers, or any part of her body she touches to metal. My suggestion was to put olive oil on to create a "barrier" for her hands at least. This did not work. I am out of ideas and need some advice. She is 52 years old, and has really dry skin/hair. If anyone has ideas on how to stop this I would really appreciate it. It seems to be causing quite a bit of pain for her.

I tried every station not broadcasting but the sound was still very fuzzy. I live in a very populated area and there aren't many stations that don't broadcast on FM. Could this be the problem? Did I get a cheap transmitter ($40)?

Also, I was wondering... Should I spend the money to get a nicer one or opt for a portable docking station? If so which one? I would really like to be able to listen to the music in my car and at my house so I am seriously considering this option.

I am looking for the most econimical choice of course, but it is also very important that it is legal. Itunes seems a tad high for 1 song. Also, since both my daughter and I have Ipods it would be great if it were a bit cheaper or if there was a way to get 'x' amount each month for one price. Thanks!

I am planning a trip up to Baltimore from DC this next Sunday, and I was looking for a good seafood type resturant to eat at. Any advice is good, even if its not seafood, I like good food - so other food types are welcome =)

I got a Nano for Christmas and I think I've about figured the rest of it out except how to name a playlist. I know I can make a playlist with the on-the-go option on the Ipod itself, and save it, but I can't name it =(. If there is a way I'd love to get a bit of help and if there isn't I'd like to know so I'll stop trying to find a way!! LOL

We recently had to move because of relocation from a nice house with a 1/2 acre backyard to an appartment in DC with no backyard.. Both our dogs are very small (under 10lbs each) but everytime I take them out and they see neighbors or neighbors pets they go balistic and bark and growl and it is quite embarrassing. They have never bit anyone and at the first advance from a nighborhood dog they tuck tail in run.

I'm sure this has something with moving from a "my property" to "omg they are all over the place we much protect!" I need help!!
