National Geographic - the scientific plane crash. It was amazing even though you and I will never be able to analyze the data. It was an impressive watch, none the less.

I live in a tiny apartment and no longer have the luxury of my former studio, so . . . I am in need of some SERIOUSLY accurate studio headphones to do premixing on. I still have my studio monitors and use them once the mix is close, but I have to get most of the work done quietly. I have tried several Sony, Sennheisers and a couple others, most in the $100 to $200 range that just don't cut it. The closest I have found, in my opinion, are the Sennheiser HD 202's which are relatively inexpensive but fairly accurate when reproduced on my rockets/sub. I also use Alesis monitors to double check sound - and again, the HD 202's are close. What do you think would be the best, preferably not $500+. I have worked in world class studios, The Plant, Featherstone, etc, so if you have not real studio experience, I still want to hear your input, but am really seeking info from studio folk. THANKS!

I utilize MacBookPro and garageband and love it. I need to be able to lay keys and have been utilizing the keyboard typing, which is fine for mellow, melodic stuff, but I need to be able to do something more detailed.

If you own either Q25 or QX25 please let me know the pros and cons of the model you own and if you own both, please tell me which you prefer. I like $60 for the Q but less than $100 for the QX is cool too.

I am studying basic chemistry re: the Kelvin scale. It is pretty straight forward stuff, but I am stumped by the later part of the following statement;

Kelvin Scale is based on the following fixed points:

" The zero point is absolute zero, the lowest temperature theoretically obtainable."

"The temperature at which solid, liquid and gaseous water can coexist indefinitely (the triple-point temperature of water) is assigned a value of 273.16K"

The zero point being absolute zero I completely understand. I think a brick would understand that, but the later part, about solid, liquid and gaseous water coexisting indefinitely completely mystifies me. Any help would be great. NO, I'm not cheating at a class either. I'm a 48 year old music instructor just trying to exercise my brain, or whats left of it!
