Hi, I heard a song on the t.v the other day that I'd like to download if I can find the title and artist.

I'm pretty sure it came out this year - a man is singing and the lyrics go something like 'it's not about her hair, it's not about her make-up.........and it's christmas babe'. The video is computer generated and has (i think) a Christmas angel and soldier in it. Can anyone help? Thanks ;)

We've recently had our planning application refused - the officer has basically torn it to shreds on every level.

We are now having to decide whether to appeal against the decision or revise our plans. To help us do this could anyone tell me if it is correct for the officer to tell us that:

(a) he cannot advise us what we ARE possibly able to successfully apply for as it is not his job

and (b) that there are no such things as precedents (when I asked why a neighbour 3 doors down was granted permission for same size extension)

We bought our house through shared ownership and have a mortgage for two thirds of the property. To cut a long story short our circumstances have changed and we will be moving out. If we sell it will be at a loss and we are not allowed to rent it out unless we own 100% share in it (which we can't borrow). Feeling like we are stuck between a rock and a hard place I'm wondering out of curiosity what the worst is that could happen if we rented it out without the lenders permission? Many thanks

Recently lots of letters have been coming for a previous inhabitant at my address (which I have been returning and stating she has moved on over three years ago when the original address was bulldozed! They have since been rebuilt and I now have the same address she did) However they still keep coming and today I opened a letter in error and it states she is about to receive a CCJ. Will this have an adverse affect on our credit rating?

They have already been cut down to stumps and have had root killer applied - now I have been told I need to get the roots up (due to planning to build an extension). Some of the roots go outside our boundary, under a neighbours drive. Many thanks

I have a hot water tank heated by gas - is it more energy efficient to leave it on and have it topping up 24 hours a day or to switch it off at night but have to heat up from cold in the morning? Thanks

Obviously as the furniture is so old it does not adhere to current fire regs so a charity store is not an option. The furniture is in such good condition and is sentimental to me that I feel terrible just throwing it away. I was wondering if anyone can think of a solution (like a museum or as a prop maybe)

I'm a 30 year old woman who has recently suffered severe alopecia. There is signs of regrowth but I have a receded hairline, no hair at the front in the middle attal and big bald patches at the back and sides. The hair I have left makes a ponytail about as thick as a pencil. It looks so bad I get comments on the street. I'm considering just shaving it off but feel a bit scared! Would this help it to grow back quicker? Or is there a style you can suggest. (I went to a hairdresser a few weeks back who was no help attall - couldn't give me any suggestions and just trimmed some off the ends!) Thanks x

My husband works a terrible shift pattern and I have two small children - I'm hoping to devise a 28 day meal planner to ensure I buy the necessary ingredients so we always all eat properly, Also, I'll be looking to freeze some of the meals so my husband can take them to work on lates. Only problem is I can't think of enough dishes! Please can you help? Thanks so much x

Please note - I will be phoning for a doctors appointment in morning but just wanted to see if anyone has experienced anything like this.

My 2 year old daughters behaviour over the last few weeks has deteriorated dramatically to the point where it's almost like I don't know her (rudeness, hysteria, regressive behaviour etc). She has also been napping again during the day which is most unlike her.

She talks really well but I could not establish any obvious reason for this and thought maybe she was having a growth spurt or coming down with something.

Before bed this evening I noticed she was very slightly red on her genital area and a fairly strong cheesy odour. There is no discharge or any sort of soreness or discomfort (or any other physical symptoms such as fever etc)

Could it be possible she has an infection which is making her behave so strangely?

If anyone has had any similar experiences I would be interested to know what the problem was but once again I will be going straight to the doctors tomorrow.

A salesmen is trying to get me to switch ISP's and reckons I wont get charged for breaking my contract because Talk Talk now own Plusnet. I have tried searching on-line but cant find any reference to this.

As executor of my Grandmothers will, I am now in a position to distribute the proceeds to the named beneficiaries. It's only a relatively small amount but I feel there should be some sort of proof they have received what is due. Should a document be drawn up for example?

I've been using cotton nappies as much as possible instead of disposables but wondered if anyone can advise me on the best way to treat the nappies before washing.

It takes me about 4/5 days before I have enough to wash - should I have them in soak in a bucket the whole time beforehand or should I just put them in the wash with some napisan.

Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks.

Hi, I recently inherited a bungalow. It is in a bad way (but we don't know to what extent as it has not been looked at professionally yet) but is detached and has a lot of ground.

My husband exchanged contracts on a house 3 days before my grandmother passed so will be mortgaged to the hilt and I am a full time mum so have no income.

I think we have 4 options depending on IF we can get access to any more credit (try to sell the bungalow as it is, do it up and then try to sell, do it up to move into and try and sell our house, or do it up and rent it out)

Problem is we don't have a clue where to start - any advice on who should be our first port of call please? (builder, bank, estate agent etc?) We really need some good advice!

Hi. I inherited a property recently which had been owned outright since the 70's and am currently awaiting a probate interview.

I remember being told there were deeds in a safe (unfortunately I wasn't really listening properly) but I've been unable to find them or trace them to a bank or solicitors. Land Regisrty hold no records and I have no idea who the mortgage was with.

Now I don't know what I need to do next in order to prove it belongs to me (after probate).

My husband works full-time and fully supports me and our dependants (i.e we do not receive any benefits)....someone told me today that as I do not work we were eligible for the single persons reduction of 25% - can anyone tell me if this is correct please? Thank you

I have had access to an 'on-demand' television service provided by BT for around 18 months. One of the main advantages of the service was that there were no long term tie-ins and if you wished you could pay-per-view rather than subscribe to a package.

Over this time I have shifted between varying packages and periods of no subsciption attall to suit our needs.

Recently I have had problems with the service (another story altogether) and there has been nothing much of interest of interest to me so today I called customer service to cancel my current package.

Much to my surprise I was told that I when I ordered my latest package I had taken out a 12 month contract so they have refused and say I cannot even downgrade to a cheaper one without incurring a fee.

I am a fairly conscientious person, especially when it comes to anything relating to money! I absolutely did not verbally agree to this plus I have other contracts with BT and they explicitly read you out T and C's.

If anyone could advise me of my rights / legal position I'd been really grateful - thanks.

My friends little boy will be having an operation in the winter and need leg casts for a month afterwards, followed by weeks of recovery at restricted mobility.

He is usually so active and she is dreading the effect this will have on him.

The dance track was out in 2006 and the video featured 'old skool ravers' dancing in a shed. The lyrics go something like 'you know we gotta get busy, you know it's driving ne crazy.....turn it round up and down like you used to do.....do it like you used to do.
