I watched the Sunday repeat of Top Gear on BBC2 last night and want to know the song featured when Hammond was cruising down the road in his pick-up. It's an old country & western song - the only lines I can remember are 'I am a (driver?) for the county' and 'won't you stay (here?) for a while'. I know it's not much info to go on but I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.

I watched it when I was knee high to a grasshopper and loved it but I've never met anyone else who's ever heard of it.

Changing the clothes, putting different backgrounds in etc. when all you can see is the face? Wouldn't it be better to show the whole thing?

Can anyone help? I'm looking for a video clip of this classic Eddie Izzard original performance. I think it was from the Montreal Comedy Festival but I'm not sure. It seems to have only been shown on TV once (years ago). I've trawled the internet but can't find it anywhere.

I can't find it anywhere on the web. There are plenty of mentions of it but it's vanished.
