Surely all the money paid to fund these wars is astronomical. They have not been cut but the community watch programs in your city or town have been. Why is that? Is America's freedom based more on what happens overseas than what is going on right in America?

Obama promised that he would reduce the dependency on foreign oil but it is still going up in price while more and more of it is being imported and used in the USA. At the same time natural gas, abundant in the USA is the cheapest it has been in a decade and is now being planned to go out the door to other nations in the form of LNG ( liquid natural gas ). Obama promised one thing but is delivering something else almost as if **** the oil man Cheney was still the VP. Why is this happening?

What bothers me about people like Perez Hilton is that they expect everyone to support Gay Rights even if they don't. Miss California Carrie Prejean's answer to a question about same-sex marriage was how she felt, which is what Perez wanted to know. If you cannot handle a negative answer then don't ask the question. Good for Carrie Prejean's response, it was what she thinks and answering it honestly Perez and other gays need to accept the fact that not everyone is pro gay.

Any doubt that Sharia Law has no place in the 21st century, has been removed by a recent judge's decision in Saudi Arabia. The judge, Sheikh Habib Abdallah al-Habib ruled that the arranged marriage of an eight year old girl to a 47 year old man to settle a debt was legal. He ruled against the mother who is trying to have the marriage annulled. When asked to comment on child marriages, Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al-Sheikh, the kingdom's grand mufti, gave the following quote to the regional Al-Hayat newspaper. "A girl aged 10 or 12 can be married. Those who think she's too young are wrong and they are being unfair to her."

At the time Sharia law was created as the living law for Muslims, it was not unusual for older men to marry very young girls, not only in Arabia but in many parts of the world. But that was 1500 years ago. How anyone in this day and age could even contemplate a set of laws which would legally allow the sexual abuse of children, because that is what marriage to an eight year old is, sexual abuse, is frightening.

I am not trying to say that abuse of children only happens somewhere else. Far to often it happens right here in Canada. The difference though, is that here when a 47 year old man is brought in front of the judge for having interests in an 8 year old girl, he is punished not praised.

I took this from a letter to the editor from my local paper. Is Saudi Arabia still living in the dark ages when stuff like this is allowed to happen by a court of law?

For the last 5 weeks the stock market has pretty well gone up on a steady basis signalling to me that the recession, like the weapons of mass destruction was another well planned George Bush magic trick. As the banks steadily rise the rich are pocketing millions on a daily basis as the stimulus is now being absorbed into the economy. What is your opinion, recession or not?

Since Brad Pitt is now enjoying the x and a flourishing cinema career, Billy Bob is in limbo. Will he ever get over what's her name?

Both in the USA and Canada their are folks flooded out of their houses by spring melts, unusual storms or swelling rivers. How can the stimulus package help?

Sounds like a winning business venture. Give bonus packages to employees that have led the company into bankruptcy. Who are these idiots, publish their names and let the world know who the real jerks are.

Would put 4000 people back to work, would stimulate the economy, would add value to the USA once the economy brightened. What is your opinion?

How do you put 4000 people to work, build something useful, do it cheaply, and stimulate the economy all at once? Building a highspeed rail line from California to the east coast of the USA may just do what Obama needs to be done to stimulate this economy and put 1000's back to work, and while they do they pay taxes on the money they make. Why wait for spring do it NOW! What do you think?

I have noticed on some questions that ask who you would vote for that the majority of US people have picked McCain whereas those who admit they don't live in the USA have picked Obama? After all of the destruction caused by George Bush another Republican they are willing to hand the reins of the country over to another Republican. Unbelieveable! What in the world are you thinking? If she doesn't make it this time, which is predicted, will she throw her hat into the ring again in 2012? I like her as a candidate whether everyone says she is qualified or not but might she not make a better Democrat than a Republican?

We all remember the votes cast in the last Presidential election when the voting machines screwed up and the recount lasted weeks. Will one state take over from Florida or will Florida be the sole state again to screw up on election day? What do you think?

Many people think their vote won't matter, why should I vote, or my vote will cancel out my wife's vote so I won't vote, or I will spoil my ballot by marking two candidates. What is your idea about whether or not everyone should vote?

Elizabeth Dole is telling lies about her opponent, McCain is calling Barack a socialist, just when do the lies not matter anymore in politics when the real question is what needs to be done to get the country moving in the proper direction? If you know, the real answer, not just more about the lies, the corruption, the bail out, but what really needs to be done to get America moving again.
