I left my job of 6.5 years to come to a new organization - an organization I was DYING to work at, which was also a client of mine at the time who I was friendly with (I report directly into her). I had to wait a long time to finally get hired here as they were going through a restructuring when I originally applied for the role. Anyway, one year later and I am not loving this job. The workload is too light and I do not enjoy working for my boss (previous client). I am planning on going back to my old job, but I am so nervous to give my notice.

They worked with me for a long time to try to get me this job, but it is not the experience I had hoped for. I gave them a full year which I think is always the right thing to do, but I am ready to leave. My boss can get kind of nasty and dramatic. She is a good person but I am very nervous to give her my notice after we worked for such a long time to try to get me this job. Any advice? Thanks!

I moved to a new apartment building in May of 2015. I filed a change of address form on the USPS website, and apparently I must have written the incorrect apartment # for my new place (2A when it should have been 2F). I corrected it a few weeks later, but a lot of my mail (specifically, junk mail) is going to a 2A, but with my name on it. It's annoying my neighbor!

I am not sure how to handle this. I am assuming I can't fill out another change in address form because then it would stop forwarding mail from my old apt to my new one. I am also worried if I ask that any mail addressed to me to 2A be forwarded to 2F, that I will be messing with my neighbor's mail as well.

I have appx 50 cassettes, some without labels, that I would like to transfer onto my computer. I would like to be able to edit them so I can delete meaningless footage, before transferring them onto DVD. I also would prefer to combine some videos if possible onto one DVD so I don't have 50 DVDs laying around. I am a bit tech illiterate, so I don't think I would be able to do this myself (unless there is a really easy-to-follow way to do it). I know there are services out there that do this, but there are so many I don't know where to start.

How would you do this? Thanks!

Was I actually protected during those 7 days? My boyfriend suggested that perhaps women are only protected when the ring is out because they put it back in after. But if you don't put it back in after, were you still protected those 7 days?

I think he is wrong, as how would your body know whether or not you will put the ring back in? Does it have psychic powers?? Ha.

My therapist has encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and try something new to allow me to express my inner-most feelings. I remember seeing a website once that has you commit to writing every single day and share it with the community. I know there are many other websites out there that encourage creativity and self-expression, but I cannot seem to find the right "key words" to search for in google.

Would love to hear of any websites you use to express your feelings and your creativity. I know I can simply write in a journal, but I tend to slack off when not being held accountable. A website and community can help keep me accountable.

Medicaid has recently assisted me with a very very bad accident. I was shocked to learn that a lien was not placed on the settlement from my personal injury case. I asked the lawyer to doublecheck and he said that Medicaid has not placed a lien. I was sent the check this week.

Am I safe to spend that money? If he is wrong who is responsible for that money in the future? Is there a time limit that Medicaid has to inform me of money I may owe?

My fear is that I will use the money to help me put a down payment on a house and in a year medicaid will come after me. I have an email from the lawyer stating that there is no lien but I'm not really sure that I can rely on the simple email to defend me.

My boyfriend was in an accident in 2011. The case went to court and the judge declared him not guilty, however this is not showing up on his driving record. He wants to lease a car and his insurance is sky high, so he wants to get his driving record corrected. We have the document stating he is not guilty.

We went to the dmv today and some very unfriendly employee told my boyfriend there's nothing that can be done and that he needs to call a lawyer. This sounds ridiculous. The case was already brought to court. The employee refused to further discuss.

Im really trying to help my boyfriend out here as he has had a torturous year (he was the victim of an almost-fatal hit and run accident in May). I just want to try to make his life easier and im hoping I can find out some information here.

They actually tracked down the driver so first it went through the drivers insurance then the bills went through my boyfriends insurance and Medicaid. While we are grateful the majority of the bills are covered the amount he owes for the co-pays is several thousand dollars because he had several life-saving surgeries.

We are so overwhelmed as there is so much information and no one seems to be giving us one direct answer we have to work with different lawyers for each question. So I am coming to you the public who always seems to be the most helpful to me. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

For the past year the wifi in my apartment disconnects very often (a few times a day). When I watch movies it disconnects even more often - about every 10 min. When this happens I just unplug it and plug it back in, and 10 seconds later it's back.

This happens on both my PC laptop and my ipad, so I am thinking I need a new router. The router is old and was given to me by a friend a few years ago.

Do you think I just need a new router? Thanks!

My boyfriend was hit by a car a little over a month ago. It is a miracle he is alive. He had life-threatening injuries, but thank god, now all we need to heal are his broken bones...and his spirit. He has 2 broken legs and a broken arm. He is the type of person who does not like to rely on anyone for help, so this is hitting him extra hard as he can't use the bathroom, eat, or do much of anything without help.

He is a pretty stubborn guy, and will not easily admit he is emotionally suffering, but I know he is. A serious self-help book will probably not get through to him - he is a very light-hearted, funny guy.

Does anyone know of any self-help, recovering from trauma, or motivational books that are particularly light-hearted, with a no-BS approach?

My boyfriend was in a very serious accident. He was hit by a car. Thank god he will be ok after several surgeries and months of rehab. I have been using nuvaring for almost a year. Since I will not be sexually active for several months, am I able to stop nuvaring during that time?

My dad currently is not in the best living situation, and he is staying with a friend who does not have wifi. My dad has a laptop, but not a reliable internet connection. He does not buy anything for himself, he is always giving to others, so I want to try to set him up with wifi. Is it at all possible to somehow get my dad a wifi connection as a gift?

I understand there would be monthly payments involved. I'm technology illiterate, so any advice you can give is appreciated.

I am 27 yrs old. My mother has been addicted to anything you can become addicted to, for most of her life. I did not know about it until I was around 21. She was using xanax, pain killers, marijuana, and who knows what else. 3 years ago we put her into rehab.

She then moved alone to the other side of the country (from NY to FL) as she could no longer afford to live in NY. When she came to visit me earlier this year, I walked in on her totally drugged up. Sent her back to rehab. And this time I went for a week as well, to a Family Therapy Program, to learn about enabling and codependency. I have since pulled away, and basically told her she is on her own and that I have no control over this, and I will not enable her anymore. But I am having trouble learning if/when I should ever become involved.

We used to be extremely close, and the idea of her moving to FL was very difficult for both of us. She used to call me every few days. But recently she calls once every 2 weeks. I am terrified she is distancing herself because she is using. She has not done any of the things she was supposed to do after rehab, like go to meetings, or outpatient. Which is another huge reason I have removed myself from this addiction.

I meet with her when I am in FL, but I stay out of her addiction. I don't question her. It's her life. If she ever wants to bring it up with me, than I am all ears. But if she is going to be sneaky and lie, I would rather not waste my time.

Do you think I should pick up the phone and ask her? Or should I be continuing to practice detachment? I am having trouble determining just HOW detached I should be.

My cat has been displaying symptoms of feline hyperesthia syndrome for the least 2 years - and it seems to mainly happen in the summer. After taking her to numerous vets, and them not finding anything, I am wondering if it could be the exterminator's spray, as bugs are more common in the summer. I live in a studio - so there's not much room to hide from the spray. After learning more and more about how chemicals harm people, animals, and the environment, I am becoming concerned that this could be harmful to my cat.

Can anyone recommend an organic pesticide that is EFFECTIVE and safe to use around my cat? My building has a roach problem so effective is important. Thanks!
