I believe it was sci-fi, and this is the only major part I remember. I think he was there with two women, one of which owned the silo, the other being his mentor of sorts, and that this was an exercise to develop concentration. Any Ideas?

I don't expect to actually get an answer because there aren't many details, but here goes:

In music theory we were listening to a piece of music that I really enjoyed, and I would like to hear it again. It was a Baroque choral piece, probably 4-part harmony, and and I'm almost certain that it was Bach. It was in minor and the opening was 4 notes in quick succession(probably 8th notes) followed by a skip up by a perfect 5th, and then a bunch of note movement that would be too difficult to describe in writing. THE OPENING WAS FUGAL, and the piece couldn't have been more than about 3 minutes long.

That's about all that I can tell you-I know it's very little to go on so I don't really expect anyone to know which one I'm talking about. Also, it is very possible that it wasn't even Bach(But it did sound like him though). There's quite a bit too many pages to look through on IMSLP, but any suggestions or even other places to look would be greatly greatly appreciated!

Hi there! I've been looking for a specific recording of Bach's Passacaglia and double-fugue in C minor(BWV 582). I am looking for a copy of the Eugen D'albert Piano Transcription and I can find a few on youtube but have not been very successful in finding one to buy. Can anyone provide any links or artists or places to look for a cd or an mp3 download of it?

I know nothing about modding, so this might not even be possible, but tell me what you guys think. I would like to add AI's to the multiplayer maps for the 3 main halos for Xbox 360, Preferably just with softmods. I have a spare 360 that I would be willing to mod if needed, but really, I just wanna be able to add a few marine and covenant ai's to each multiplayer map for a little added enjoyment. Is this possible?

okay, so I have been running nightly for a couple years now. usually I do 2 or 3 miles with an 8.5 minute mile. I eat more or less right and drink plenty of water and sleep as much as I can when I can(busy with school).

For the past...week I guess, during and especially after my run, my legs feel very weak and tired. I notice a little bit of pain starting in the 2nd or 3rd lap of the 1st mile and it never really goes away. It starts in the back of my knees and slowly spreads to my calves, but is by no means unbearable. Once I stop running however, my legs-especially my knees and calves feel very weak and shaky for several hours until I go to bed.

I always do good, long stretches before and after running and I use jogging shoes. my shoes are a couple years old..maybe new ones?

anyway, does anyone have any idea what this could be? I know it's not low endurance because this has only started in the past week or so and I never experienced this after my 3 mile runs a few weeks ago. My only thought is that maybe I hyper extended something or something like that. Im not gonna worry too much about it(unless you guys think I should) and I'll probably just take a running break for a week or two. my other thought is that maybe I'm starting too fast and need to ease into it slower. I dunno.

Hokay-I have an Orion 10 inch dob (1200mm focal length) and I am considering buying a high power eyepiece. I am debating on whether or not to get the 5mm or the 8mm version of the Orion Stratus wide-field eyepieces. I know they have very good reviews and many people say they are good for the price. I have one problem however: I live in central Texas where it is VERY humid almost all year, and I also live in the city(but not right in the middle). Either of these two by themselves is bad but together is no muy bueno. I can still see m57 and m13 though, even with the bad light pollution. Sorry-im rambling. Anyway, If I were to buy the 5mm (giving me 240x magnification), would I be able to see much given my atmospheric conditions (in the city), or would I be safer sticking with the 8mm for higher resolution and as one that I can use whenever. My fear is that if I were to buy the 5mm I would only be able to use it on observing trips out in the country because there would be too much city light/pollution/humidity to be able to see anything out of it. Is this fear justified? or will either eyepiece work fine regardless of the conditions?

BTW my scope's highest theoretical magnification is 300x so I would be pushing it a little with 240x.

I just wrote this(yes it is a super-early rough draft) and I would like some help with beefing up my essay with more analogies, logos and pathos and syllogisms and all that good stuff. I had to write this quickly because I was in a bit of a time crunch, so I know it needs a lot of work.

Although I really appreciate your enthusiasm please do not re-write the whole essay or sections of it: I merely want suggestions and ideas and maybe a few examples and pointers as to where and how I can make this a more convincing argument.

BTW it's supposed to be an editorial and be no more than 1000 words.

"In the social media age, teens and young adults comprise an important demographic. According to the pew institute, 65% of online teens use social media. To many in this age group, sites like Facebook and Twitter are vehicles for modern self expression. However, in september 2009, President Obama advised a group of virginia students to carefully use facebook because 'in the YouTube age, whatever you do, it will be pulled up again later somewhere in your life.' Is the president Correct? Should Minors be heed this warning? or do they understand the weight of having a permanent and detailed online record of their lives?

Is the solution to ban minors from social networking sites--until they are of age and responsible for their own choices? Write and editorial voicing your opinion about restricting young people from using social media websites..."

Essay:

To network or not to network?

That is the question. There is a great debate these days about the internet and whether or not teens should be allowed to use social Networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and Myspace. The Theory is that in this modern digital age anything posted on the internet will indefinitely remain there forever, and come back to haunt you when you are older. But are Theories always correct? Of course not. This is an important time in every teens life, one when they must learn to make good choices, and learn to live with their mistakes, and social networking sites should be no different. Teenagers Should be allowed to use social networking sites, as they are a valid form of self expression, communication, and promote a feeling of community.

Everyone has to live with their mistakes, and teenagers are no different. We are at the point in our lives when we need to learn to make good choices, and learn to live with our mistakes. Why should the internet be any different? Making good choices is an extremely important part of being an adult, and what better place to start with than the internet to prepare and train ourselves for adulthood?

Also, why let one apple spoil the Bunch? Just because a small percent of kids make mistakes, or lapses in judgment, why ruin the fun for everyone? Instead of, say more closely monitoring the internet usage of those kids? Although it is possible that some things may be pulled up at a later date, there is absolutely no guarantee that it will be the ruin of our applications to colleges. Chain reactions like that don't automatically happen to everyone.

Most importantly, trying to eliminate or restrict usage of social networking sites is akin to trying

to eliminate the criminal record of a person: if the person has done shameful things in their lifetime,

then they have to live with them, if the person has done nothing wrong, they have nothing to worry

about. Although Criminal Records and social networking sites and the internet seem like night and day, they are actually quite similar: both are relatively permanent, both can seriously help or hurt you in the future, and both can store information about your Criminal history, and more importantly, both can be accessed by almost anyone, such as college admissions advisers, potential employers, and the like. And I don't see anyone campaigning to eliminate criminal records forever.

Fine, You know what, lets stop usage of social networking sites, that should solve the potential

problem of a permanent record, right? Wrong-what about the countless YouTube videos and personal blogs and photo diaries on Flickr? Might as well restrict usage to those as well. In fact, since almost anywhere on the internet can be used as a personal diary of sorts, we might as well eliminate internet usage all together. I don't think so. Although that solves the problem of “internet diaries” people-kids in particular-will always find away around, whether it be by cellphone, “old fashioned” paper notes, or some other method. What do you do when your mom tells you not to eat a cookie before dinner? You eat a cookie before dinner. Attempting to restrict usage of Myspace and Facebook just makes defiant teens (almost all teens are defiant) more likely to join in an act of rebellion.

I think part of it took place in a church, esp the ending. I remember the characters being strapped/hooked into some sort of virtual reality thing for a while(what actually seemed to them like a few days).

I also remember a scene where some guy cut off the head of some creature in a kitchen with a meat cleaver.

The last scene is the one I remember best:

The characters have just finished their little Virtual reality trip, and they take off their headset things and one of them asks how long they were in for. another replies that it has only been 20 minutes, and they are all surprised, as their time in seemed a lot longer than that. I also remember right after that that one of the characters killed another character, and the killers girlfriend smiled at the others and said the killer would be the best video game designer in the world.

I know this isnt a whole lot to go on, but I saw it a long time ago and am curious about it. Also, is this movie any good? Any and all Help Appreciated.

I have an indoor/outdoor cat and a few minutes ago, she threw up on the floor, and then I let her outside. After I cleaned it up, I was going outside to throw away the dirty paper towels, I noticed her going to the bathroom, so I let her do her business. A few minutes later, I came outside and looked at where she had gone and her poop was not solid like it should be and looked like it may be a little bloody. I glanced over at her and noticed she was throwing up again, but this time, instead of throwup like before, it was less thick than before, and there was much less of it. After this, she looked like she was getting ready to eat some grass on my lawn. Im guessing that she had to throwup for whatever reason and the second one was just to get rid of the excess from the first one.

Now shes inside again and acting like nothing happened, and I didnt notice her acting strange in any way at all earlier today. I know that animals dont show signs of illness until they are very sick, but she seems to be fine. I've never seen her do this and Im a little concerned.

So here is my question: Is this normal behavior for a cat, or is this something I should be worried about/something She needs to see a vet about?

I have windows xp, and whenever I click on My computer, The C drive and a few other files will show up, but not the cd drive. any help here? I know the drive works, because i've used it, but I just can't see it in "my computer."

1) Capacitor with lower voltage rating but higher capacitance

I.E. 10,000 uf 20 volts

or...

2) Cap with Higher voltage but lower Capacitance

I.E. 10,000 volts 20 uf

I Figure The cap with the higher Capacitance and lower voltage will yield more current. Am I right?

Okay, here's the deal: I'm trying to charge a 400 v capacitor. To do this, I have a 400 v ac power supply (neon sign transformer turned down to 400v with a variac) hooked up to the ac in of a bridge rectifier. The positive and negative outputs are connected to the respective connections of the cap. Whenever I try to charge the cap, It won't charge-I monitor the voltage with a voltmeter. The voltage of the cap won't rise above 1 volt. Without the capacitor in place, The charging system puts out 400 v no problem, so I know the charging system works.

What I think is happening, is that the cap views the bridge rectifier as a short, and the electricity is just going in a circle, from the negative of the cap to the negative of the bridge, through the bridge, and from the positive side of the bridge to the positive side of the cap, in other words, like I said, a short. This is obviously very bad for the capacitor, and I didnt leave it on or mess with it too much since it is a large capacitor and I didn't want it to explode.

So my final question is: How do I charge the capacitor without it discharging itself through the bridge rectifier?

I'm 16 and going to be a junior in High school. I would really like to have a job after school, But I'm Worried I won't have enough time for Homework. How many of you out there have had an after school job during the school year, and how did you manage enough time for your job and homework? I took an audio book out of the library, and I like it so much, I would like to store it on my computer. The total audio book is 15 c.d's with 23 tracks each. I don't want too use windows media player because The book will take up a lot of space in my library. Basically, I want a way to store the audio book on my computer without storing it in my library in wmp (but I still would like to listen to the audio book with wmp). Any Ideas about how to do this? I tried storing them in a different playlist in wmp but they still showed up on my main library. I also tried to copy and paste the tracks onto a separate file on my desktop but they wouldn't play.

When considering visible green lasers (by visible, I mean one which you can actually see the beam), what is more important: output power, or frequency/ wavelength. In other words, will I be able to see the beam of a laser of a certain frequency if it only has an output power of 1mw, or does the output power decide how visible the beam itself is?
