what command will sort all files in a directory that are 3 letters long and end with the letters e through g??

I know "file ???" will sort the three letter files and "file *[e-g]" between e and g, but I can't figure out how to combine them and only show my search criteria.

Drives me crazy that the iPhone doesn't have one.

The answer is 2/3, but I don't get how to get to this. There's a formula for finding the sum, but I cant find it in my discrete math book.
