Say someone gets about $500 approved amount for work study per semester. Now some students can work anywhere from 10-40 hours per week, so does this mean they only get $500 for the whole semester if they worked a full time job basically the whole semester? Its confusing to me, so I need some clarification. Because if this is true, wouldn't it make more sense to get a non work study full time job and make more money? Please explain, thank you.

I'd like to start medical school in the fall of 2011. I'm currently a 3rd year in college and I'm planning on taking my MCAT in the spring of 2010. So when is the best time to start the application process online? I'd appreciate the help, thanks :)

If I'm considering medical school one day, does it seem realistic to major in Physician Assistant studies. I'm currently a 3rd year biochemistry major and I feel like it so research based that I'm loosing interest in this field. Like I love chemistry, but I feel I am straying away from my passion. But PA studies are about 5-6 years and I'm not sure if that would make sense to do more than 4 if I'm planning on going to medical school someday anyway...and I might not go to medical school right away, so would PA be a good idea?

I want to buy a hoodie offline, but I have no idea of their sizes nor do I have a measuring tape with me. I just want to know if the sizes run extremely small or do they fit well with the body etc. I am pretty small up top, no large stomach or anything but I have a shapely body. Are the arm and bust area extremely tight? I don't want to not be able to flex my arms comfortably, etc.

Do I need to contact my bank directly and have a direct deposit account set-up or can I just tell people writing me a check that they can direct deposit it with my bank information...in other words do I need to contact my bank first or can I just got and give my information to the peole trying to deposit a check by direct deposit....

I had it connected to the computer when I turned it off yesterday and it was still connected when I turned it on today. You know when you just plug it in, it shows that apple screen, with the apple logo...well it keeps blinking that screen and then the back light comes on, and then dark again...you can still see the apple's screen all this time. what should I do, let it die and charge again?

If I took a course over the summer, by how much would it change my gpa. for example, if I had a 3.0 gpa, and took two course over the summer at the same university I go to, and got A's in both courses, what would my gpa change to?

for example, if you take summer college courses at another university the grade transfers to your current school but doesn't get calculated into the gpa of your "main" school. So how do graduate schools or professionals schools (medical) consider the multiple gpa's? would they average them? which doesn't make sense because you can take one class and have a 4.0 and that would boost the gpa way to much, sounds too good to be true, so can someone clarify?

If I took a summer course at my college and got an A, does that give me a 4. gpa for that summer session, but does it get added into the accumulative gpa as a whole semester? For example, if I went to school 4 years and got a 3.5 gpa all 8 semesters, and did one summer session and got a 4.0. would they add the 4.0 in as a 9th semester? Please explain, thanks!

I am not an expert photographer, I just like taking pictures of myself or friends and adding cool effects to them. So in other words, it is just something I do for fun on the side. I want a program that makes it look like graphic design or just something cool. Is photoshop and good way to go? please give details as you probably know more than I do, thanks!

Instead of taking the MCAT the spring of Junior Year and I took it the spring of senior year, when could I attend medical school. For example Spring 2010 I took the MCAT, is it possible to start medical school fall of 2010 or would I have to wait till 2011 based on average admission deadlines?

I will be graduating soon with a B.S in biochemistry. My goals were to always go to medical school, which is still my main choice. However, due to some changing circumstances in my life, I'm not sure if Medical school will be the best path for me AT THE MOMENT, so how hard would it be to become a nurse working in the hospital or to work in the medical field until I am ready to become a doctor in the future? please give insight about length of additional education, etc. Thanks

I am a junior in college. my tuition costs about $27,130 and there are no more on campus housing options. All of the places near school to rent from cost about $1,350 which is fine. but I need to know if I can borrow that money from a loan to cover my housing off campus. I kno sometimes they say you can't borrow more than this amount based upon your tuition, but if you need housing money worth $16,000 a year, will they allow me do to so?

Well I am a pre-med student at a great university in the United States. I was always taught to never go to medical school in the caribbean, however I notice that some of the medical schools in Puerto Rico are accredited by the U.S. and are legit. I know they may not be as reputable but I'm sure many people can do just as well. I'm only asking because a lot of my family is there. Please give me some educated input. thanks.

when I buy a brand new unlocked cell phone off of amazon from amazon themselves, does it usually come in the box with the basic headset and charger, it doesn't say so, but what can i expect from the purchase? It says brand new unlocked phone, I just don't want to expect any surprises. thanks

I'm just trying to install the Norton 2008 anti-virus software and it told me i first needed to upgrade to the Windows XP Service Pack 2. So I kepe trying to download it and half-way through it tells me access is denied and then it deletes everything it was trying to install. Could anyone please let me know what may be going wrong and how I can fix it to install the Norton software?

When I use Yahoo email, sometimes I notice that people don't write me back. They say they never got an e-mail from me, but when I use a different account, it seems to work. Is it possible that for some reason my e-mails aren't being sent out, and if so why?
