  • What s the best halfway point between Los Angeles and San Diego?

We are flying into LA on Friday. We have an event in San Diego on a Saturday and Sunday. Then, we are flying out of LA on Monday. We want to spend time in LA on Friday. We don t mind driving back and forth to San Diego on Saturday and Sunday from the hotel. However, we want to be close to the LA airport for the flight back home on Monday morning so we don t have to be up and in traffic so early. What s the best city to stay in that is halfway between the two locations? We don t want to book a hotel in a city that has absolutely nothing to do.

  • What is the statute of limitations for car insurance premium payments in Georgia?

I cancelled my car insurance policy and went with a better company. Now, the premium payment is showing on my credit. I thought insurance premiums were paid in advance, and they cancel your insurance policy if the premium is not paid. Is this legal? What is the statute of limitations for insurance premiums in Georgia?

  • Is it a HIPAA violation if identifying info is announced over an emergency radio?

Is it a HIPAA violation if identifying info is announced over an emergency radio? I can hear certain info being displayed over a family member's radio when at home or in public while the family member is not on duty. For example, a dispatcher may announce that "a 76 year old asian male located at 1234 main street is complaining of difficulty breathing". A responder ask over the radio, "what is the name". The dispatcher may say over the radio, "John Rivera". This individual's name and address are considered identifiable information. Is this a HIPAA violation when certain uninvolved individuals can hear the information?

  • Is broadcasting certain info over an emergency radio a violation of HIPAA Law?

Is identifying information such as addresses and complaints being broadcast over an emergency radio a violation of HIPAA law? My husband is a volunteer fireman. We live in a different county from where he volunteers. He often listens to his radio when at home or out in public. In fact, he is able to tune his radio in to other frequencies (our county) and listen to whats going on in our county also. The problem is I, along with others, can hear addresses, descriptions of individuals, and their complaints being broadcast over the radio. Is the broadcasting of this information a violation of HIPAA law or is it a violation for him to have the radio where other uninvolved individuals can hear the information?

  • Is it possible to get a family violence charge dropped in Georgia by going to an intervention program?

My daughter went to pick up her son from the father. He had taken the baby to his mom's house which my daughter didn't approve of. When my daughter got there, she got her son and started back to her car. Her son's father came out and tried to take the child from her arms. He told her he would hit her if she didn't give the baby back. The child is three years old and my daughter is the custodial parent. She's a great mother so they can't prove her to be unfit. The guys mother came out to assist him. She also started trying to take the baby and pulled my daughter's hair. My 20 year old daughter, my 14 year old son and one of their friends were waiting in the car. They had just come back from an amusement park. When they saw what was going on, they got out to help my oldest daughter. They all ended up fighting. The baby's father, his grandmother, and both my daughters received minor injuries. When they called me at work, I told them to go to the police department and file a report because they had no right trying to take her baby from her and the grandmother had right pulling my daughter's hair. The neighbors saw the incident and called police. My children had no idea that the police had been called because they had already left. Four hours passed before I could convince my daughters to file a report. When they got to the police department, the police told my oldest daughter that she had a warrant placed on her for family violence. They arrested her. She has never been in trouble. She did not go to their home with an intention to fight only to get her son. It ended that way when they tried to take him from her. The grandmother had tried to take my daughter's son once before when he was about 6 months old which is why my daughter doesn't want the child around her when she's not around. My question is...Is it possible to get a family violence charge dropped by attending an intervention program?

  • Are pharmacy technicians allowed to perform pill pass in Georgia?

Pharmacy Techs are preparing medication using the Inmate's Med Administration Record (MAR) and administering the medicine (performing pill call). I know the tech can prepare meds for packaging as long as they are reviewed by a pharmacist but I thought med administration (pill call) was the job of a nurse.
