Where can I find this costume?
I'm looking for an authentic, early 19th-century English Royal Navy captain's dress uniform costume.
I've looked a bit, but haven't managed to find what I'm looking for. Does anyone know of any sites where I can find said costume?
1 AntwortHistoryvor 8 JahrenI'm a bit confused by instrument keys....?
I've been playing trombone for 6 years and recently picked up the trumpet, but music theory has always confused me. I tend to just memorize the slide positions/valve combinations based on how the note appear in the staff.
I understand say, a B flat trumpet, when playing a written C, will sound a B flat.
Now here's my list of questions. I'll just number them for your convenience.
1: Does that mean that the music is written differently for non-transposing instruments than is it for transposing ones?
2: Sheet music for a B flat (regular) trombone is written in concert pitch. How does that relate to the trumpet sheet music?
3: So a trombone plays a C and it comes out as a C even though the trombone is a B flat instrument. Why doesn't the same happen for the trumpet?
So you can see where I'm at in my understanding of this. I'm sorry if my questions are so vague, but that's really because I'm so fuzzy on this topic. Check back in later, too! I'll probably add in additional details with clarification questions.

I'm building a computer, and I have all the parts. When I bought my CPU, it (naturally) came with a heatsink. Since stock heatsinks are- well, let's be honest. They suck. I'm not planning on OC'ing my CPU yet, so is it possible for me to use the stock one for now, then replace it later with an aftermarket heatsink + thermal paste?

I'm building a computer, and I want it to be fast (but not amazingly, incredibly fast, just fast and powerful enough for high-quality, non-laggy gaming). Of course, price is another factor. Now, Newegg TV at this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPIXAtNGGCw said that you only need 8 pieces: the case, the power supply, the motherboard, the CPU, the memory, the GPU/video card/graphics card, the storage (I might have both HDD and SSD... maybe), and the optical drive.
I've already decided on a case, the HAF X. It seems reasonably priced and is supposedly good at cooling.
For the CPU, I think I want the Intel i7 Quad Core, but it seems like there's more than one model. Can anyone help me with the differences between the models?
I'm having trouble deciding on a motherboard. I (obviously) need one that's compatible with my processor, and doesn't hold the i7 back, or doesn't outpace it too badly. Any suggestions? Remember, not too expensive, please.
I'm not sure about the graphics card and the optical drive. I'm don't think I need anything blu-ray related for my optical drive, but if I'm wrong, please correct me. Graphics cards look pretty expensive, and I just want one that will keep my computer playing games fast. (Think Shogun 2 on ultra quality with a good framerate.)
As for the storage and memory... *shrug.* No idea. I don't exactly need 2 terabytes of storage, but a moderate amount to a lot is always good.
Suggestions on parts that are all compatible and don't cost me a fortune? It would help if you just make a list, using the parts I've decided on, and then answer any other questions and explain things at the bottom.
Thanks in advance!
