So-I have been trying to come up with ideas of things to call hubby other than "babe" and "baby"...both in the sense of a nickname, but also when we are being intimate. It feels odd to call someone "baby" in that situation and I'd like to know, guys-what would you like to be called? Or are there any women who have come up with something better?

I was just wondering what kinds of "weird" or unexplained experiences people have had...could be anything paranormal...ghosts, near death experiences, angels, UFO's....

I would love to hear the details of teh experience but also how you felt during it and now after you have had time to reflect on it....

Since i'm asking, i'll share mine-the house i live in now is the house i grew up in, and we have a ghost. I have had TONS of experience with him-the most common beIng that he would walk around in our attic at night when i was trying to sleep-my dad lives in my old room and still hears that to this day. That made me feel afraid when i was a kid, but now i find it fascinating (partially because i have lived with this ghost for over a quarter century and now i know he is quite harmless-and is actually quite friendly). When i was a teenager he was shuffling things around in my room when i was trying to sleep-and i got up, opened my door (lol i dont know why) told him firmly to get out and that i needed to sleep and it stopped and he never did that again! When someone is sick he will get worried and come check on them. I am glad to have him as part of my family!

What time of year should we transplant a small maple tree (its about 2-3 years old and needs to be moved from where it cropped up!) I also need to trim a branch on it, when should i do that in relation to the transplant?

Our yard used to be sunny, but now our trees are mature and its quite shady! This is very nice in the hot weather, but now we dont know what to grow along our walkway. we used to grow marigolds, but they wont grow now. We are interested in:

-Something that grows in clusters like marigolds (nothing the spreads horizontally too much)

-Something short (6-10in height range)

-Something perennial preferably

-Less important is something that flowers-if it flowers throughout the summer even better! (second choice would be something with interesting leaves)

I have been having severe issues with staticy hair...esp during and right after brushing it. Even if its greasy it can still be staticy! what should i do?

more info:

-I have thin hair

-I use 3 products after i shower in my towel dried hair: argan oil on the tips to help minimize split ends, friz-ease secret weapon smothing cream all over, and garnier sleek and shine leave-in conditioner all over as well, but not too much near the roots to help with reducing greasiness.

-I let my hair air dry

-I use a humidifier in my room

-i do NOT have frizz...just static

are there any products that are good for static?

My boyfriend is the sole souce fo income for teh two of us right now (and for teh forseeable future), do to a medical issue i am dealing with. and that brings up the issue taht we would be in a world of troubel if he is hurt, or if he dies i would be in trouble. So we are thinking about getting him life and disability insurance policies. But there are so many companies out there, it seems daunting to research them all. and if i were to use a broker, how would i knnow they have my best interest in mind? so i was hoping people could share their knowledge and experience in this area. any tips are helpful! any stories (good or bad) about yoru experience with a particular company are great as well! OK-so my family and i are thinking of getting some property to put a home and barn on to keep our horse at "home"....I am in the process of budgeting for that. The part i'm having trouble with is figuring out how much of certain things i might use...so for a 12'x12' stall how many bags of shavings do you think i would need per week if i were to bed about medium deep (a few inches)-the bags are supposed to hold 3.4 cubic feet. I'm also planning on mixing in some pelleted bedding for absorbancy.

any other tips for someone undertaking this advaenture would be appreciated! I do know all about horse handling and health, its just the financials i am having issue with. I was also advised to TRIPLE check with the zoning officer directly that any property i might be interested in really is zoned for horses.

i could also use pointers on where to look for someone who supplies hay or bedding (perhaps shavings in bulk?) I am sad to say that the horse community in my area doesnt cooperate and share info nicely...so i really appreciate any help you can offer! Thanks!

My boyfriend rarely gets time off form work, and he will have 4 days off for thanksgiving. I live in eastern pa (allentown), and we usually go to a couples only resort in the pocono mountain region (northeasten pa), over thanksgiving. BUT we cant use my moms timeshare points this year because the resort was sold to another company, and its very expensive, so i dont feel like this is an option. I am looking for somewhere that would be nice to see in late nov, somewhere that has indoor activities incase its really cold or snowing, that is within a few hours driving distance of where i live (3 hours max). I also dont feel like going to NYC right now, because i dont have the energy to deal with such a high energy place. So the area would be Central PA, Easten PA, Delaware, and possibly NJ if they have recovered from Sandy by then...

I like watching the show "tanked" on animal planet, and they make all kinds of fantasy themed fish tanks....and i was wondering, if money were no otion, what kind of tank would you like? what theme? what shape? what location? Just curious! Use your imagination!

I think a graveyard theme one would be awesome! maybe coffin shapped?

I;d also love to have a fishtank in my bathroom someday-talk about relaxing while you are in the bath! maybe even if one wall of a shower could be a tank that would be awesome!

Hello! I am looking to buy a tablet PC and heres the specifics of what I want:

-Low cost (within reason...under $350 would be nice) I am NOT looking to pay for something pricey simply because it is trendy (like macs...)

-a touch display that will accept fingernail or stylus imput (so a resistive touchscreen would be best, but i'll settle for a capacitive if it isnt a real pain to get the right stylus and its a good deal...) I will NOT be using fingertip imput because i sweat and it will just destroy the clarity of the screen in minutes....

-at minumum a 7in screen, the bigger the better because i am visually impaired

-I mostly want it for simple websurfing, and reading e-books

-i do NOT need it to contain a camera

-i would like it to be reliable, sturdy, and relaively speedy

-a decent user interface that is intuitive and easy to learn is also a plus!

I have owned a few pairs of TEVAs-but they almost allways fall apart on me! Does anyone know a company with better quality hiking sandals? I'm looking for something that can be worn on the trail as well as in water. Something sturdy, and obviously not leather since i need to use them in water. Thanks a bunch!
