My grandfather-in-law is ill. I am the executor of his estate when he passes. When he went in the hospital I took over his finances and realized that in the last year he apparently picked up a spending habit and has about $6000 in credit card bills as well as at least 1000-2000 in other misc. stuff he ordered (fingerhut etc.). He really has no assets (no house, savings etc) and it doesn't look like we'll get much from life ins. b/c he only took it out in 2006. What will happen when he dies to the credit cards and other bills? Do they get shifted to me as executor? We are located in New York State.

For the last several months my 2002 Ford Explorer has randomly decided to not start. It has happened about ten times now. Each time my gas tank has been over 1/4 full. Today it was 3/4 full. All I have to do is put a bottle of dry gas in, shake the truck a little and it magically starts. Most days it has happened have been warm days (I live in the North east). I have gotten gas from several different stations - that seems to have no relationship to it happening. Any ideas?
