I have had a recent change in my work schedule causing me to be away from my bird most of the day. He has lots of toys and foraging activities in his cage, I was considering leaving the tv or radio on while I am gone as well for a little extra entertinment. Do any other bird owners do this? If so, what shows/music do you play for your bird?

The dentist terrifies me. I am 22 years old and I have only been 3 times now. Last time I went I had 2 fillings. This scared me more than the root canal I had the first time. I am putting off getting my next 11 cavities filled because I am too nervous to go in. I was relaxed during the root canal because they gave me laughing gas. Is this okay to request for fillings as well?

I am 22 years old. I used to be on the heavier side until I was 16 and I dropped a bit of weight. Because of this my breasts sag, not like the usual 22 year old. Is there any way, other than surgery to help fix this?

I have 2 toenails that are infected. I am getting them removed. I know my toes will be numbed during this process but what does it feel like afterwards having no toenail? Does it hurt or is it uncomfortable? Also, how long will it take for my toenails to grow back?

My bird, a Jenday Conure, has finally reached his sexual maturity. Because of this he will scream for most of the day and will not stop. It does not matter if I feed him, hold him, play with him, etc. I have spoken with my vet about this and she says eventually he should settle down. I have lived in my apartment for a year and a half. My current lease ends at the end of Feb. At the beginning of October I have new neighbors move in next to me and below me. Since moving in they have both thrown parties almost every night and play loud music all day and night so bad that my floor and walls shake. This has prevented me from getting any sort of sleep and I am on thin ice at work for falling asleep at my desk and being too tired to perform my tasks. I have called and complained to the landlord almost at least once at week but the parties and noise contiunes. In my lease it states that the quiet community hours are from 10pm to 8am and noise must remain inside of your own apartment. My landlords will not allow me to transfer apartments or move without breaking my lease which I can not afford. I am wondering if I have any other options. I have already tried having another person take over my lease which has not worked out.

My bird (Jenday Conure) has been alone for most of the day recently due to a change in my work schedule. I am thinking of getting him a companion bird to hang out with while I am gone but I am not able to care for another conure or parrot type bird, so I am thinking of getting a parakeet or something like that. I have a Jenday Conure and I am thinking of adding another pet into the mix. My bird Henry is very attached to me. He is bonded. I am wondering if anyone has had a bonded bird and then added another pet into the family. I am thinking of either a puppy or another conure. How did your bird react? How long did it take for him to get used to the other pet?

My Jenday Conure, Henry, has become obsessed with throwing up on me. He is bonded to me so when he first started doing it I was not surprised, but now he is obsessed with doing it. As soon as he sees me he starts trying to throw up and if I am holding him this is followed by him masturbating/trying to mate with my hand. It is to the point where I can't even hold him anymore. What can I do to stop this behavior?

I do not pet his back or under his wings or anything like that.

I have heard of shampooing your hair with vinegar or beer to make it shiny. Has anyone tried this? What was the result? And how did you smell after doing this?

I recently learned that a good way to bond and nuture your adult parrot is to hand feed them with a syringe every now and again. I would like to do this with my conure but I am not sure exactly what you put in the syringe to do this?

I have had my Jenday Conure for almost a year now. The last few weeks he has started displaying some odd behavior that I have never seen before. If he see's a foot, even if it is covered by a sock he will rush over to it and attack it. At first it was a little cute but now he is getting extremely aggressive. The last few days he has started doing the same thing to my fingers, but not all the time like he does with feet.

How can I discourage this behavior?
