I am on S.S. Disability and my wife works full time but her hours are constantly fluctuating, a lot of times down to three days a week, which really lowers our monthly income. We recently had $4500 in medical bills sent to a local collection agency who have threatened to put a lien on her paycheck each week if we don't make monthly payments. I informed them of our situation and offered at least $100 a month but was told we had to pay at least $250 a month or they would go ahead with the lien. How can they expect us to pay what we cannot afford? If we are at least making the effort and paying what we can afford, shouldn't that be acceptable? We feel we are being strongarmed!

We are always pouring it into a sealed can and when it is full it goes out with the garbage. Is there any use or possible use for this stuff?

The original American natives who populated America should be honored as the true people of this country and we should be ashamed of "the white man's takeover". We celebrate Columbus Day which is a complete sham. How do you discover a country that is already inhabited? We celebrate Thanksgiving Day which is really a slap in the face to native Americans. It's nothing more than a prelude to their demise. We have a real evil way of making us the good guys through out history when in fact we should be feeling a lot more shame.

I have been on Social Security Disability now for 1 year. I spent 6 years before that unemployed and fighting to get help for my disability. If you are familiar with SSD, you know you may be in for a wait. My wife works full time and has been there for seven years. We acquired a lot of medical bills while I was down and are presently in the process of paying those off( we allowed a lien to go through on my wifes paycheck at 25% taken out for the medical bills) Our problem now is that we need financing for a car and don't know where to turn. Both of our credit ratings are lower now due to the medical bills. We were able to buy our house over a year ago using just her credit rating. Now mine is higher than hers due to the lien on her payroll but still fairly low.

What would our political system be like if we did not have parties? Suppose we voted as purely American citizens, using our own judgements on the issues. It seems to me that our party system has turned into nothing more than an excuse for name-calling and passing the buck. I refuse to be catergorized with any group. We have allowed corporations and special interest groups to dictate our laws and we have a government completely out-of-touch and seemingly ignorant of the real needs of this country. And all you hear is one party blaming the other . This country is made up of real people with real concerns . Maybe what we need is real people representing us!

My wife and I had both of our credit ratings lowered due to medical bills. We allowed a wage garnishment to go through on her wages in order to get them paid off. I am retired and recieve Social Security disability. We have are current on our mortgage payments, we have no credit cards, and no other loan payments. We have been advised to acquire a loan or a credit card to help raise our credit ratings. We now need a car loan and like credit card offers we recieve almost daily, we have also recieved an offer for auto financing which states we are preapproved. My question is how preapproved are you in these offers. They state that the preapproval is based on our credit information.

For what little control the general population has over its government and military, it is usually the people who end up suffering through any bad hype or repercussions stemming from foreign policies and warfare put forth by them. While your average citizen is usually just trying to live life the best he/she can, we end up the victims in everything from foreign name-calling to terrorism and war. Shouldn't we have more say if we are going to suffer the consequences?

I am looking for a decent chat room for serious music and music memorbilia collectors. Most of the sites I have found have been overrun with idiotic conversations going nowhere.

Is there any way to get a garnishment of wages lifted if it is making it impossible to pay your normal monthly bills? My wife has been having 25% of her wages garnished due to medical bills and by the time they take out normal deductions and then take out the 25% garnishment there is not enough left to pay our normal bills and transportation to work each week. If not lifted, maybe lowered. The amount due is less than $5000.00. I am disabled. Please help.

We will need to refinance our mortgage loan in less than a year. Our credit rating is lower right now due to medical bills which we are in the process of trying to pay off. It seems that a lot of these companies are just out to make as much money as possible off of you using your credit rating as an excuse. We were rushed through buying our house by the owner and we are not to happy with the terms of our mortgage at the end of the second year.

It seems to me that everything being released now has already been done in one form or another. I have been able to listen to something new and then go back through my collection and pull out the same type of music released years ago. It has been interesting that the same music I grew up listening to is still just as popular now and we are talking from the sixties/seventies. And my father told me Rock N Roll was just another passing fad.

Everyone should be very, very concerned and hopefully mad enough to stand up for your personal rights and demand to know the truth . This is suppose to be America, Land of the Free. This could be about to end!
