We bought an unfinished house that had two coats of oil based finish already on the hardwood floors. Would we be able to use a water based finish on top (after buffing), or is an oil based finish our only choice?

Does anybody have any experiences with jewelry organizers? I've just spent the last two hours trying to untangle two necklaces, and have decided its time to get organized. I'm looking for a box (preferably with a lock) that when it opens up, would display my earrings, necklaces, etc... for easy finding. It should be pretty compact because I live in a dorm. Also, I would like it to be available at any chain stores: Walmart, Target, Home Depot, etc.. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I want to learn lacrosse, does anybody have any exercises? Not the type you do with the stick, just like running and stuff. Also, any tips on how to improve my running? It hurts when I run, and I think that affects my speed. Is there a correct way to run? Thanks!

Does anyone know what the score for the percentiles would be? The practice book just gives 50th percentile which doesn't do any good. I'm just wondering so I know how far I have to improve. On the practice test I got 781 Verbal. 782 Math. 742 Reading. but it's just an estimate as the actual SSAT is scored slightly differently than the practice tests. I'm applying to Phillips Exeter, and other schools, but the admissions officer had said that most of their students score in the high 80s and mainly 90s. Do you know around where I would score?

Hi. I live in LA, and I want to be an actress. I've done my research so you won't get any stupid questions, (or at least I hope not.) I sent in my headshot and resume to a couple of agencies, and 4 had gotten back to me about interview/auditions. The first one was Colleen Cler, and I thought I did great at the interview, but I was never contacted back. They asked me how long until my braces came off... the 2nd one, Dedicated, wanted me to take classes at their agency, and their agency only, so I said no because I thought it was a scam. The third agency was the Sharon Kemp Agency, and she said that my braces was a problem for her. She said to come back when they come off and she'll sign me. I have an interview/audition with Affinity Models and Talent Agency on Saturday. Do you think the braces are a big deal? I mean I look good in them, and braces are appropriate for teens my age (13). What is your opinion? Thanks!

my kitty was gone most of the day, and when she came back, one of her eyes were closed. the hair around it was really hard also, like some type of liquid dried. maybe she got into a fight with something. she used to be really energetic but now she's just lying in the sun. please help!

my friend wears a uk size 8 for tops, and a size 10 for bottoms. what would that be in the us??? and what size would it be at Abercrombie and Fitch because I heard sizes run smaller there. I don't usually shop at AnF, so I'm not quite sure how things work. How about Hollister??? do sizes run smaller there too????

okay, so i like this guy who is in the grade above me, and he's super nice to me and talks to me (which is really rare because he never talks to people in the grades younger than him). but there's this girl in his grade that also likes him. she's pretty and wears glasses but is really quiet. she's also my friend, i don't know her that well, but she's still my friend. she's liked him longer than i have. should i tell her that i like him?? should i try to stop liking him???? please help! any advice wouuld be much appreciated!

hi! i need help learning about binary numbers. when I was younger, I was showed how to get binary numbers in the form of a game. I really understood it, but now i totally forgot. I need to know how to change a whole number into a binary number, and how to change it back. I understand the concept, and I can add, but i have no idea how to subtract and multiply, and divide. please help!
