i have a tiled kitchen floor that is a disaster and needs to be retiled by a professional...can i use the existing subfloor and just yank up the crappy tiles and retile? or do i need to yank up the subfloor as well?

Is it my dvd player or just crappy scratched up DVDs? I can play the DVDs in my computer just fine. Is there a DVD player that you recommend that will play scratched up dvds?

I bought one of those clear hard plastic office chair mats from Staples months ago and have tried repeated times to unroll it. It's near impossible. It's a really thick hard plastic with those sharp pointy things underneath that sticks into the carpet. Every time I attempt to unroll it, it keeps curling back up. I can't get it to lay flat long enough to put it up my chair. I have tried unrolling it and laying on it, etc and it still rolls back up. Arrgh...any suggestions?!?!

I bought some fabric to make decorative pillow cases but the fabric is really thin. Isn't there some type of thing that iron's on to the back of thin fabric that stiffens it up a bit? If so, what is that called? Any other ideas other than doubling up the fabric? Thanks!

Those small snack boxes of raisins -- can they mold and go bad? Or do raisins dry out before they mold? They are moist, so it makes sense that they would mold? Maybe I shouldn't worry about it.

Also, I heard that the raisin producers dry the raisins out in the sun on sheets of plastic (or something?). What keeps a bird from flying over and pooping on the raisins? The raisins don't get washed off do they?

When this movie was made, were they trying out a new sort of camera technique? Everytime I watch this movie I wonder what the deal is. In some scenes the motion of the film is really wierd. It makes my eyes feel funny.

I was watching I Love Lucy the other day and remembered something that always bothered me. Ethel seemed too young for Fred. Fred seemed like a really OLD man on the show. But then again, Lucy and Ricky were playing the part of a young newly married couple. How old do you think they all were really suppose to be on the show? Seems like Ethel could have found a better man than old cantankerous Fred. What do you think?

I rented the movie BARNYARD over the weekend. It was a good movie, BUT it bothered me all through the movie that all the male cows had UDDERS!!! Why?!? The horses were drawn with nothing down there. Why couldn't the male cows be drawn without anything down there? I think the movie may give kids the idea that male cows have udders.

If you use the reasoning of the pro-minimum wage increase crowd... it is to be assumed that $7.25 is enough. Do you think that the extra $2.10 will just be going for more cigs and booze?

Only teenagers and the recent retirees should be making minimum wage. If you are over 18 and still making minimum wage -- maybe there's something wrong with you.

What if the government came to you and told you that the company making the product you wish to buy just isn't making enough money. Their profit margin has been stagnant for four years, and so the government wants you to pay more for the product so that the company making the product could get more profit. Like the idea? Do you think the government should tell you what must pay more for an item from the department store or grocery shelf than it is worth? If not .. then how can you support the idea that the government should tell an employer that he has to pay a person more for his labor than it is worth?

Is John Q. Taxpayer paying to deport people? Have you looked at how much international air fare is? Who's paying for that. Not all of these illegal aliens are from Mexico or Canada where we can pile them into a bus and truck them back. But who's paying for that?

I just rented the Fat Albert movie and it made me remember how much I liked watching the cartoon when I was a kid. Anyone ever see these old cartoon replayed on cable or sat?
