Hi. I'd like to ask if anybody has had or knows about a particular psychological sensation/event that happens for me very occasionally.

I can be doing something, like playing a video game, and suddenly, my mind starts to feel simplified, deadened, and everything feels like it's happening in slow motion. I will talk, and my speech will feel very slow. It's hard for me to explain this.

My interest rate on my Variable fixed ISA with halifax is 0.1%. I've had this account since 2008. I've seen that this same account is currently advertised at 2.0% (which includes a 12 month 1.5% bonus. Doesn't this mean that my account should have a 0.5% interest rate?

I've accidentally opened a new Halifax ISA account online. I meant to convert my existing Cash ISA account to an Online ISA savings account, but accidentallly opened an additional one rather than converting. The new ISA account requires a £1 deposit. After opening, it prompted me to deposit. I didnt deposit anything though. So what will happen?

Hi. I work in a supermarket and I think I'm being bullied. I'm quite certain of it. I'm forgetful of things though, and I can't seem to describe what's taken place that accurately. How do I know if I am being bullied and if it is a good idea to do something about it? I think if I did tell my manager or somebody else, then when the bully was called into the discussion he would make what I'm saying sound like nonsense.

The bully seems to be friendly towards me, but also says things that leave me feeling hurt. He's really talkative with anybody. I'm 21 and he's a few years older than me. The fact that he is friendly with me makes the situation all the more confusing - I can't define it as bullying since I'm getting mixed messages.

He's made comment about my appearance on several occasions, saying I look like a jew. He's said this twice. He speaks about people behind their back when they can obviously hear - I heard him saying how this woman looks like she could be my mum because we have the same beaky nose.

I suffer from social anxiety and body dysmorphia disorder (which doesnt mean I'm attractive - it means I obcess over something about the way I look because it doesnt look normal, like my nose, and many other things.) Hearing him make these negative comments on the way I look has an effect on my mood, and can leave me feeling extremely low for many days, nearing thoughts that I'd be better off dead.

As I've said, he's a talkative guy. I often find him chatting to customers and work colleagues and not working. He gets his job done. I'm different - I often don't talk much at all while working. Last night I was speaking for a couple of minutes to my other work colleague (about work), and then the 'bully' shouts over "Come on Matt! Stop chatting and come n give us a hand." I stayed chatting for a short while longer so the bully didnt feel like he'd controlled me, and then I walked over to him, only to get some grief from him about me having just had a break, and then I'm talking to somebody, and that he hasnt had a break. I can't stand confrontation. If I'd have tried to give him back a reasonable response I'd have probably stumbled on my words so I just shrugged my shoulders and sort of said 'so?'. We had plenty of time left to do the job, more than usual. I said to him "Go for your break now then", and he sort of stormed off. Then he came back down and I'm quite sure I overheard him talking about me to the other workers, saying I've got dafter (I might be wrong though, but I think I'm right). I felt ready to cry.

My other workmate who's really silly talks to me like I'm a child. He seems really childish himself. He's 28years old. He told me that another worker had made a group up that he's joined, said he'd been watching Klu Klux Clan videos on youtube and has now jokingly (I hope) started a 'club' for ppl who hate immigrants The worker then asked me if I want to join (he always asks me ridiculous questions like this, probably because he assumes I'm stupid because I'm anxious and that I believe every word he says and that I take what he says seriously.. so it's all a big laugh for him). I said no, obviously.. I hate racism, and don't even want to take part in a racist joke when it's started by genuinely racist people.

I can't type anymore.. advice, anyone?

I created some graphics for a project that is open source. I've just found a site that has my graphics used on stickers/tshirts, etc. And they are for sale, for a price. Are they lawfully allowed to do that?!

Hi. I've made a model from plastercine and want to have that same model made out of clay. I'm going to buy some clay, but how do I then go about getting a mould from the plastercine model that would withstand the pressures of pushing clay into it, but a mould that would also leave the original plastercine model intact (not required but much preffered). How would you experienced artists go about this?

I work in a shop, where I am always around customers and my coworkers. I suffer from depression and social anxiety,, and I never feel enthusiastic about talking to people. But when I do, it's like whatever I say, people just laugh at what I'm saying. I'll admit, I do say silly things sometimes, and I know it.. but I'm constantly anxious to various degrees when I'm at work and when I make the effort to talk, I tend to say random things, and feel like I'm talking utter crap. I just want to fit in. I wish I knew what to say. Anyway, it's like over the past few months, I've been the focus of jokes at work. We got some new ppl working with us, and my longtimw work colleague (let's call him fred..) seems to be wanting to undermine me infront of the new people. For example, there's some labels we have to tear up coz theyre all together on one A4 size page and u have to rip along the perforated edges so u have lots of small labels left. I'm ripping them and feeling under pressure with them watching me, and I don't rip them perfectly, but apparantly it's really easy to rip them without tearing them, even when ur ripping like 5 pages at onc. And my workmate is just watching me doing it, and commenting on hoe I'm doing it, infront of the new ppl, and it ends up that they all think i cant do thd simple task of ripping some labels up.

You know how lemons can be used as batteries? Can you arrange many many lemons tobcreate a circuit that would electrocute a man to his death?

Hi. I've written a program that is about 40 lines long. It uses the console window (MS DOS window i think it is) and it outputs the result of each calculation. The calculation is looped but a variable is changed at the end of the loop so that each calculation is different. It takes a significant amount of time for a thousand calculations to be done (about 1 second) but I assume that in games calculations are dones at an incredibly faster rate since there is so much more going on (like in xbox/playstation/nintendo games for example.

So, why does it take a relatively long time to calculate only a thousand calculations, whereas a game can be played in high definition with a ~60Hz display refresh rate (which I would guess requires millions of calculations per second or something crazily high)..?

What is the definition of a heavy smoker of cannabis?? 1 joint a day? 5 joints a day? What?

Hi. I have 2 friends who I've known since I was in primary school. We see each other regularly outside of school.

Right, so, the background story is that in highschool, he suddenly became confident; he somehow attained a new personality, which was bigheaded, selfish, he showed off, he would not be afraid to argue with the weaker of the teachers. He even 'squared up' to a teacher once, and felt so proud of it afterwards.. Yeah, he seemed to totally change, and he would be cockey with me.

Anyway, he went his separate ways in  terms of college although we still regularly hung out, played football, went to the pub, etc. he made new friends at college, one of whom smokes cannabis. So, naturally for him, he saw how 'cool' it was and started smoking too.

Fast-forward to now, and that friend (who I still see) will smoke it everyday. He hangs out with several other smokers, in a dark, cold dirty garage, te floor littered in botlles and empty canabis packets; just a total dump. 80% of their conversation ilrevolves around cannabis; showing off new bongs, discussing who owes who, etc. He's always pressuring me into dmoking it. I have tried it, under his influence, but not for half a year now. He asks me if I want some whenever they have some, and I have to say no like 10times before they get the message.

He lie's to me: he asks me out to go do something. (football, gym, pub etc). so I go out and then I'll be waiting a good hour for them to smoke their daily dosage of cannabis first before we actually do anything (he never told me they were gonna have an hour or two hour smoking session first!)

 I have social anxiety, so I can't easily make new friends.. It would be very difficult for me.. so incase you were wondering why I don't just leave and forget about him, that's why..

So, I've made a little (big for me!) program that calculates the x and y co-ordinates of a mass subjected to a force positioned at 0,0. The co-ordinates are in the form of double variables, and are re-calculated in a loop. How do I go about getting these values for the position drawn on to the screen?

I'm coding in C++, I've just started learning programming all together, and would like some basic support on how to draw my co ordinates as points on a set of axes, although I'm not desparate to have axes.. just a travelling dot would be nice :)

I'll start off by telling your that I am a first year Aerospace Engineering student. I've took a year off now, and would like to try making my own remote control plane purely for leisure.

I want it to have an onboard 180deg camera (I think you'll understand what I mean by this) which would stream live video to the remote which I'd use to control it.

I want it to look like a typical aircraft (wings, propellors etc... maybe like a particular vintage aircraft, but I've not looked into this yet)

I'd also be interested in talking to people who are also serious about wanting to design and build a plane but are still in the very early stages like myself.
