I've installed a remote camera linked to my laptop via the modem router. I can see the images on my laptop, but how do I record them to view later?

There's no 'record' button on the camera software. Can anyone help?

We're thinking of moving to France, but we'd need to find a job. My French is at the 'Get By' level and not conversational.. Yet! Any ideas where I can get good information?

My wife was called into her manager's office on September 1st and told that as the company is in financial trouble she had to either accept a £7,000 pa pay cut or take redundancy. She had no union representation or colleague present at the meeting and was pressured to sign there and then. She said she had to think about it but first thing the next morning (Sep 2nd) her manager cornered her and under duress got her to sign the form. She has now been offered another job with a different company and they want her to start on Tuesday the 6th. Can she claim the change of terms to her contract were unfair as she did not get representation at the meeting and less than a day to consider her options?

I used the word juggernaut today when talking to my 17 year old daughter. She didn't know what I meant. My 20 year old equally didn't know of it. Thirty somethings know the meaning, so what is the moment that this word lost its place as a common word in UK English? Juggernaut is a Hindu god but it was a commonly used as a term for an articulated lorry in the 80s. When did it die out? UK English speakers only please, as I guess most Americans, Aussies, Canadians etc wouldn't have ever used it at all.

'Socialist' and 'Anti-American'. Why not go the whole hog and privatise the Police and Fire & Rescue? If someone's house is burning down, then without insurance the Fire crew should let it burn down. Someone robbed and stabbed without Policing insurance gets no police help except, maybe a crime report number (for a nominal fee of course). Any road, anywhere without a toll is communism in disguise. If you break a leg in a traffic accident the ambulance and medical treatment is charged for. Why not charge for the Police Investigation and Fire crew who cut you out of your car as well?

UK sites end .co.uk and many countries just end with their international abbreviation, such as .it (Italy) .fr (France) .de (Germany) etc. So why isn't it .co.us?

I'm naturally a Lib Dem voter, but here in Swale they are way down in third place with no chance of winning. This makes my vote worthless. Are you a Labour voter in an area where the Lib Dems are running neck and neck with the Tories and Labour in a no hope position? Would you consider a vote swap with me?

has been told by the High Court that she was discriminated against and can wear her bangle that symbolises the Sikh religion at her school going against the school's no jewellery policy. So, as the floodgates are now open for Hijabs, Veils, Skull Caps, Crucifixes, Chastity Rings, Lapel Badges and any other religious paraphanalia, what about agnostic/atheist students? If they are not allowed to wear jewellery to school is this not discrimination? Could it be a defence that wearing a Darwin Fish badge is an expression of one's faith in Science & Reason? Why bother having any school rules at all?

I've just watched a program where people were asked in a shopping centre(mall) to guess how many table tennis balls were in a big bowl. Most guessed around 100-200, but when they were shown a false list of previous 'guesses' around the 500 mark, they all changed thier minds to match these answers. When a guy, planted by the program feigned inside knowledge he got them to go from a guess of 70 up to 700!

Could this explain how religious groups keep 80%+ of the worlds population deluded into their beliefs, no matter how crazy they may seem to an outsider?
