I work third shift and have a lot of free time on my hands. Tonight I came into work and used my kindle to look up my ex gf on facebook. We broke up 2 years ago, I am completely over her but last I knew she was pregnant and had cancer. I just wanted to see if she was still alive/how she was doing. I am now married and I feel terrible that I looked her up. My wife doesn't care as she is still in contact with some of her exes. I didn't message her but I still feel like scum. I am wondering how bad it was. (This is the 1st time I have looked her up since we broke up).

I remember a country song that I heard a while back about a couple that liked eachother and I think the guy comes back and they danced. (maybe he was bringing her a purse, im not sure) but the chorus was about dancing. Its a sort of older song.

I work security and I am looking for a flashlight. I want something that has 250+ lumens, strobe, a solid body (to withstand being dropped/jabbed into an attacker).

I would like it to be under $50. Any tips would be appreciated. If the price doesn't fit then just link me a less expensive model that fits what I am looking for.

So I have been having a problem as of late. Within the past two months my wife and I have been feeling very apart. We have sex less often (from 4+ times a week to 1...maybe), she is distant, we keep fighting and I cannot get her to talk.

I started a new job 4 months ago working overnights. I think this is a BIG part of the problem. My wife and I no longer spend much time together because I work nights, and I am always tired/cranky because of my schedule. I am also very frusterated. We hang out with our friends gary and cass whenever we have a chance. They just started dating and i constantly feel jealous of how in touch they are. I keep trying to get some affection from my wife and on the rare occasion when she finally gives me some i still feel like she is pulling away. I shouldn't feel like our friends love eachother more than we do. I try to talk to her about it but she doesn't say much back. My wife has depression and she just says "I dunno" or or just stays quiet when I ask her how she feels/can i do anything to fix this and when I ask her if she is feeling the same stuff (distant and stuff) she says yes. I just want to feel like she loves me again.

Im looking for some advice. I will update as i think I need to. If you have stuff to add / change because of an update just edit your answer or comment on it.

I am currently looking for a revolver to carry for protection. I have a limited budget. I have almost no preference as to what caliber it is in as long as it takes a cartridge (not a black powder revolver). I would prefer a single action to a double action but I would take anything really. What do you guys recommend? My budget limit is because I am trying to buy a ruger 10/22 and modify it, so if need be I can go up a little bit and just get a stock 10/22.

I have done martial arts for a long time (15+ years) and I was just curious:

What has been your favorite training technique? This can mean either most fun or most helpful. For me I like Makiwara training. It is the board of wisdom and it allows you to learn how to make all of your strikes hit with a lot of force using little strength and energy.

What has been your least favorite training technique?

For me this has been 2v1 sparring. I hate sparring in general because for the most part it is nothing like a real fight and I don't enjoy hitting another person. The 2v1 sparring exercises at my dojo are full strength but padded. You have to defend yourself against 2 attackers and it sucks for me. I am more than able to defend myself however when it is just 1v1 I can defend for 99% of the time and just strike back once or twice befor ethe match is over. On 2v1s I have to fight constantly in order to stay safe, and in previous experiences I have unleashed a power that prefer not to see in myself.

It is father's day and I am at work. I am feeling kind of down because I miss my dad (he died in 2007 of lung cancer) and I guess I could just use some cheering up. Anyways I had a question:

Since my father has passed away I managed to get kind of poor grades in highschool, I got an ELS from the marine corps and I fight with my mom a lot. I guess those are the negatives of my life since he has passed. On the brighter side I am in school and I met an amazing woman who I have now made my wife. We have a daughter that I am in the process of adopting and I work 80+ hours a week to support my new family. I guess what I am asking, is if I was your son, and this happened would you be proud of me for the things I have done in my life? I started out kind of shaky but I think that I have really started to make something of myself in the last couple of years.

I just don't understand how people can accept being fat as okay. I have no problem accepting some fat people as attractive however I cannot condone it as being okay. I have struggled with my weight my whole life however I was able to conquer it. What do you guys think? Are there ways being fat IS acceptable? Is shaming them okay? Give me your input.

Hey everybody. Over the past year or so I have really been thinking about religion. When I was 14 I was a devout methodist and I was really into it but when my dad got diagnosed with cancer I lost my faith. Over the past 7 years or so I have tried and practiced a couple of different religions and most felt right for a while but never quite fit me. My mother in law has formed her own faith that meshes a couple of religions together and it seems to work for her. I am just wondering what your thoughts are on people who A) Repeatedly switch between a few religions and B) Combine a few religions to suit their needs. I am also wondering if anybody has ever done this or if you know anybody who has.

Alright folks, let me run down a situation and have you tell me who is more qualified for the position. This scenario includes two males, both the same race, and age. One Enlisted in the army, finished bootcamp and got a medical discharge before finishing his mos school. The second enlisted in the marines, got discharged on training day 65 in bootcamp. Now, both work for the same security company. Guy #1 has been there for less than a month and hasnt been trained on how to restrain somone or wand them however he did work for a time in an army hospital where he had to deal with ptsd patients. Guy #2 has been trained on how to wand but has not recieved restraining training. Guy #2 has however been with the company for 3 months and has been a part of drills where they have gone through restraining somebody and has 14 years of martial arts training.

Which one of these individuals is more qualified to take a post where their primary job is to wand visitors, watch suicidal patients, restrain aggressive patients safely and secure belongings? Which one would you feel safer having in the room trying to restrain a patient?

I have been really into the show Vikings lately and I have also been doing a lot of ancestral research into my origins. For years I have known that I have a warrior spirit, it was shown in how passionately I have defended my family and through my time in the military. I recently spoke with my mother and found that her family was not purely irish as previosuly believed.

Here are my genes as far as I know:

Father --> Cherokee, English, Irish

Mother --> Irish, Scottish, German, English, Welsh

Due to my horrible historical education I have just recently found out that the vikings once held most of england and much of europe. I have been having dreams about praying to the gods (specifically odin and freia) and asking for strength in battle. It has kind of throwjn me through a religious loop.

Anyways, my question is, what do you guys make of it and what are the chances that nord blood runs through my veins?

I fell in love with the Sako 85 and I think I want a Sako Kodiak. I live in the united states and I own a couple of rifles already. I have never done an FFL transfer and I have never imported anything.

Should I go to a shop and see if they can import one for me? Can beretta import one for me?

Hey all, about 8 months ago my mom sold my dad's truck to a dealership. When he died everybody in our family knew he wanted to leave it to me (it was our thing, washing it, driving and everything) but I was 14 and he hadn't changed his will so he left everything my mom. Everybody in my family told her to give it to me because it really was supposed to be mine but she claimed that he left it to her so its hers, end of story. Anyways, she gave me her PT Cruiser....yeah. Then she dols the truck to a dealership for about 7 grand over asking price because everybody around here wants the truck. Im wondering if there is a way to find out who bought the truck from the dealership, I just wanna buy my truck when I the money for it.I still have a key to it in my car...

My wife has struggled with depression, fibromyalgia and a slew of other medocal conditions for a long time. She used to go to counseling but her medical insurance got cancelled so now we cant afford it. She has tried to kill herself before we met and once or twice since we have been together. Two nights ago she waited until i was asleep, went outside and cut herself (vertically, she isnt trying to get attention). This happened after i told her we dont have the means to move. We live with my mom who is an alcaholic. She is mean and aggressive and really wears on my wife. I already work 2 jobs but with me, my wife and our daughter we cant afford to move. I dont know what to do. I love her so much. I feel like the worst husband ever and like imnot good enough to keep her going. She tells me that she loves me but what more can i do. I just want to make her happy. I dont want to lose my best friend or raise my daughter alone. Can anyone tell me what to do? I feel so crushed and scared.

Okay, so there is this Really attractive girl that I love. We have never gone out but we are very close, so close that she telle me things that she wont tell anyone else, and about a year ago I told her I love her. She doesnt love me back and in the last year I have been getting closer to her and she even shares her thinsg with her boyfriends to me. I am now her guitar teacher (we are both 17) and I have a song that I wrote for her. Now a few nighst ago we were chillin with a bunch of friends at the beach (at night). I can only drive one person with me at once so I drove her, we were all heading somewhere else when she said she wanted to go back to the dunes with me, now out of being nervous and not wanting one of our friends to go looking for us and find us doing stuff I didnt go to the dunes with her....what should I do? I still love her as much as I did the first time I told her, and she knows that, and yet she still flirts with other guys and gets boyfriends. She knows it tears me up inside too, but she wanted to go to the dunes with me...(it is a notorious hookup spot). Should I sing her my song or should I let her be like I have been? Advice please
