    The number of teeth in the dial gear of the combination lock system is 40

    The number of teeth in the stepper motor gear of the combination lock system is 10

    The number of teeth in the dial-stepper connecting wheel of the combination lock system is 80

    1) What are the gear ratios between the motor/wheel and motor/dial?

    2) If the dial is turned one complete revolution, how many turns do you get on the stepper motor shaft?

    3) What is the number of steps in the stepper motor for one complete revolution of the dial?

    Attempt on question 1

    Ratio between motor/wheel = 10/80 = 0.125

    Ratio between motor/dial = 10/40 = 0.25

    Hence ratio between motor/wheel and motor/dial = 0.125/0.25 = 0.5

    Attempt on question 2

    40/10 = 4 turns

    Can someone please check if these answers are right? Also what's the answer for question 3? I don't really have an idea how it could be calculated.

    Hi its been 2 years since i measured my height and up to this day my height has remained the same which is at 168cm.     Hi I did a lab experiment based on water flowing through a tapered venturi nozzle in a pipe. I had to calculate the mass flow theoretically using Bernoullis and mass flow equation and also calculate it theoretically using volume/time

    Why hasn't the reaction forces (Force y and moment at point c - left edge of beam) of the cantilever had been taken into account to solve this problem?

    As you can see in the solution the reaction forces wasn't taken into account so it has got me confused either the reaction forces are equal to zero or i don't know

  • Can't sleep properly after drinking vodka?

    Hi whenver I drink vodka I get around 4 hours of deep sleep then I seem to wake up then go to light sleep but can't seem to go into deep sleep anymore, and a lot of the times I feel wrecked. I was wondering if there is any advice you can give me to reduce this effect and is there anything I can do, eat to prevent this?
