1 AntwortSending and receiving messagesvor 9 JahrenAnanias and Sapphira mentioned in Acts 5 were not believers?
They had uncircumcised hearts that lied or resisted the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:3, 7:51). Believers have circumcised hearts (Rom 2:29, Coll 2:11,12) that are reverent and obedient to God (Jer 32:38-40, Ezek 36:27,28), are blameless in holiness (1 Thess 3:13) and in which Jesus dwells. (Ep 3:17) The devil cannot influence the heart of a believer. Do you agree?

1 AntwortMonitorsvor 1 JahrzehntWhat is falling from grace?
Grace is a person, the person of Jesus Christ (John 1:17)
Jesus is in heaven sitting at the right hand of the Father (Hebrews 1:3)
So grace is in heaven and we can fall from grace.
Being in Jesus or in Christ is being in grace.
When we do not walk in Christ or in the Spirit we fall from grace.
In Galatians 5:4 we fall from grace when we attempt to be justified by the law. This is trying to be justified by our own efforts to fulfill the law. This amounts to not being in Christ and accepting God's righteousness in Him. Most important it is God Himself who puts us in Christ (1 Corinthians 1:30) so our default mode, if we let go and let God is always in Christ. What do you think? God bless you.

1 AntwortPDAs & Handheldsvor 1 JahrzehntChristians, Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 5:1-10 were not believers?
Acts 5:1 described Ananias as a “certain man” whereas if he had been saved he would be described as a disciple.
In Acts 5:3 Peter said that the Satan had filled Ananias’ heart to lie to the Holy Spirit.
In Acts 7:51 Those who are stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears always resist the Holy Spirit.
In Romans 2:29 A believer has circumcision of the heart in the Spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God.
Since Ananias and Sapphira had resisted the Holy Spirit in their hearts they cannot be believers.
I also believe that the Holy Spirit who is sent to be our Comforter would never act so harsh against a Christian who is a son of the Father. The Holy Spirit came so hard upon Ananias and Sapphira because they acted as servants of Satan to bring compromise to the early church. For those of you who were taught otherwise you can now love the Holy Spirit more. God is good and so is the Holy Spirit! Amen!

13 AntwortenReligion & Spiritualityvor 1 JahrzehntChristians - once saved always saved 2?
When we are saved we are born again by the Spirit of God - a spiritual birth (John 3:6). Just as we in our natural birth we cannot reverse our being born, similarly we cannot by an act of our will reverse our spiritual birth and consider ourselves not to be born of the Spirit. It is just not possible. Anybody who argues against this is just plain wrong. When we are born again we become sons of God and when we are baptized in water and in the Holy Spirit our Father will say to us just as He had said to Jesus, "This is My beloved son in whom I am well pleased." We like Jesus are loved by our Father before we commence any work for Him. Our acceptance into the family of God is by grace and not conditional with anything that we do, good or bad. Like the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-24 who rejected and sinned against the Father, the Father ran to him and kissed him, ignored his confession of sin and instead commanded that a best robe, a ring and sandals be put on him. Sonship is forever

Salvation is a gift of God (Ephesians 2:8)
God freely give us ALL things (Romans 8:32)
The gifts of God are irrevocable (Romans 11:29)
Our salvation is therefore irrevocable.
Are we not always saved?
God bless you.

2 AntwortenReligion & Spiritualityvor 1 JahrzehntFor serious Christians. Heaven gift in Hebrew 6:4?
The heaven gift (dorea) in Hebrew 6:4 is Jesus Himself. The Greek word 'dorea' is used in the Bible for Jesus or The Holy Spirit. In respect of all other gifts the Greek word 'charisma' is used. Jesus Himself has mentioned He is the heavenly gift in John 3:16. Hebrew 6:4-6 applied to a particular group of people who witnessed and experienced the personal ministry of Jesus during His lifetime but refused to acknowledged Him as the Savior and Son of God. The scripture here do not apply to believers and it has been wrongly used against the belief of once saved always saved. Any comment?
12 AntwortenReligion & Spiritualityvor 1 JahrzehntFor serious Christians, what is the will of the Father in Matthew 7:21?
In Matt 7:21 - 23 it says that those who do not do the Father's will will not enter the kingdom of heaven. So it is important to know what is the Father's will here. The answer is found in John 6:27-29 where Jesus encouraged His listeners to labour for food which endures to everlasting life. So they asked Him what they must they do. Jesus then said, 'This is the work (will) of God that you believe in Him whom He sent.' This can be confirmed with John 3:16 which says that whoever believes in him shall have everlasting life. So the will of the Father in Matt 7:21 is we believe in Jesus. Matt 7:23 confirms that those not qualify for heaven are unbelievers because Jesus said, 'I NEVER knew you.' This scripture has been incorrectly used to disprove 'one saved always saved.' I appreciate your view on this.
7 AntwortenReligion & Spiritualityvor 1 JahrzehntAnimals go to heaven?
I believe that animals go to heaven. The Noak's Ark is a prophetic picture with Noah's family and all the pairs of animals being saved from judgement that God will restore mankind and all his creation in the new heaven and new earth at the completion of the present age. God's Covenant with Noah is for mankind and all flesh that they will never suffer God's judgement for sins but be restored forever, The Ark is a picture of the body of Jesus in which all creation will be saved. John 3:16 says that God so love the world (the whole earth and not just mankind) that He sent His Son to save the world. The fact that 'world' is used and not a specific term referring to mankind alone shows that it is God's intention to save mankind and all his other creation, including animals. Love is an attribute of God that man has for God is love. If man can love animals would not God loves them more? I believe God loves us and all His creation which He has considered good and He will restore all..
16 AntwortenReligion & Spiritualityvor 1 JahrzehntFor Christians only, is going to heaven the same as inheriting the kingdom of God?
1 Cor 6:9 says that the unrighteous (ie unbelievers) will not inherit the kingdom of God. The unrighteous cannot inherit because they are not sons of God which believers are.
Gal 5:19-21 says that those who do the works of the flesh will not inherit the kingdom of God. Here believers who sin (ie engaged in the works of the flesh)
cannot inherit the kingdom of God. Believers who are sons of God are disqualified from their inheritance because of sins.
In Rom 14:17 Apostle Paul defines the kingdom of God to be righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
A believer who sins is not disqualified from going to heaven but he would not inherit the kingdom of God in the sense that he will not enjoy righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. I have consistently used the writings of Paul
to come to this conclusion. Any helpful comments, brothers and sisters in the Lord ?

When we walk in the light we are protected by the blood of Jesus (1 John1:7).
God has translated us from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light. (Coll 1:13). The only way we can lose the protection of the blood of Jesus is when we sin and walk back into the kingdom of darkness into the devil's territory. What do you say?
11 AntwortenReligion & Spiritualityvor 1 JahrzehntDoes 2 Peter 2;20-22 deal with losing our salvation?
This is in answer to Anthea H. 2 Pet 2:20-22 'For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ , they are again entangled in them and is overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. For it would heve been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn away from the holy commandment delivered to them. But it happened to them according to the proverb: "A dog returns to its own vomit," and, "s sow, having washed wallowing in the mire." (NKJV) This passage deals with false teachers. It talks about what we do after we are saved. The words 'pollutions of the world' make it clear that it deals with our walk with God on earth. It speaks about we behaving sinfully on earth what good have our salvation done for us living our lives on earth. Having been saved should we act sinfully? If we are then we are poor witnesses. It is not that we become unsaved.
3 AntwortenReligion & Spiritualityvor 1 JahrzehntOnce we are saved we are always saved? We can never lose our salvation?
I believe once saved we are saved forever. When we confess Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit is sent to live in us. In John 14:16 Jesus said the Holy Spirit sent to us will abide in us forever. For the Holy Spirit to leave us we must lose our salvation and this cannot happen because the Holy Spirit is with us forever. Jesus also said in Matt 28:20 that He is with us always. If Jesus is always with us we cannot lose our salvation. THe Lord Jesus cannot lie therefore we can confidently know that we are saved forever. What do you think?
