I occasionally get pain in my chest (heart and lungs were checked at the hospital so no heart attack) I feel bloated a lot. The last 2 days I have felt sort of ill- not really nauseous, but not hungry either, but the pain has continued. I sometimes have trouble getting a deep breath in. Then other days I feel perfectly fine, get hungry like normal and have no pain. Recently I had routine blood work and I am suddenly low in iron. I have a good diet and the Dr says I probably am not absorbing iron well, which is odd because I've never had an issue before (I'm 44 years old). Anybody out there have anything similar? I have been told it might be GERD. I'm just getting paranoid it's something worse.

I've had a swollen throat for 12 days now. It came on suddenly with a fever. I no longer have a fever, but my throat swelling has not gone away. The doctors says it's just a viral infection and needs to run its course. I went back a second time and they this time the doctor did a throat swab, but I'm still waiting for the results...again the doctor said it still looks like a viral infection. My throat looks red when you shine a light on it. There is no pus on my tonsils. I have a cough as well that sometimes is mucousy. I've been using Advil to reduce the swelling in my throat, so that I can feel ok for work...I'm getting frustrated with my doctor...are there any other tests that I should be asking for....I live in Canada.

My mom lives across the street and I'd like to share my internet connection with her. Can someone suggest what kind of router I would need to be able to have the connection reach into her home.

My live in boyfriend of 10 years has been separated since we met and I have no desire to be married myself, so I have never pushed for a divorce. I would like to purchase a home and I have suggested he get a divorce before I do that because I'm afraid she would be able to take half. The house would be solely under my name and based on my credit. I don't want his name on it...Essentially, he is my roommate with fringe benefits. Would she have any legal rights to anything in my name? Everyone says we are considered common-law, so he has rights to my things, which in turn would be considered hers too, but that would be like being married to two people at once, I would think. Does anyone have any input on this?

My old cat (he's 19), was diagnosed with diabetes around Christmas time. His insulin has slowly been increased each time I take him in for blood sugar tests. I just came back from the vets and his sugar is still high, and he's lost 1/2 a pound since last time. He seems active and alert enough considering his age. He's now on 4 units of insulin twice a day. I've never been concerned until today, that maybe this isn't working. Is 4 units a lot? He's about 13 pounds right now.

I know they contain small amounts to mercury, so I don't think they are supposed to go in the regular garbage, and I don't think they are recyclable.I live in Ontario, Canada, so I would need to know about a local solution.

I'm limited on space in my apartment and my stereo speakers are kind of strangely shaped...I can stack them if I turn the one upside down and then I can put the stereo on top of the speakers and kind of build a tower. Is that going to damage anything?

I bought it second hand and can't find an owners manual....I've looked under some of the panels in the hatch and I can't find it.

I have a rechargeable flashlight that uses 4 AA sized nickel cadmium rechargeable batteries. The batteries don't charge anymore and I'm have a hard time finding new ones. I have some rechargeable AA NiMH batteries. Can I use these, or is there a huge difference between the 2 types of batteries. I'm paranoid of leaving the flashlight plugged in because I'm afraid of starting a fire.

my boyfriend may have a concussion...he won't tell me how he got hurt, but I know him and his buddy were out goofing around with 4 wheelers and he came home all scraped up and his ear is swollen. His buddy wanted to take him to the hospital, but he refused (I think my boyfriend had been drinking too). He was well enough to polish off 3 more beers when he got home and is now asleep on the couch....Should I try waking him up in a few hours? I wasn't, and still am not, sympathetic to his injuries, especially if alcohol was a factor, but I also don't want anything serious to happen

I am looking into buying my first home. I live in Ontario Canada, and everyone is telling me to go to a mortgage broker. I thought I would have to go the bank first to see what I qualify for. Is a mortgage broker and a bank, the same thing? I also heard something about a 'first time homeowner' thing that is also available. I am so clueless about this and I don't want to get ripped off. Please tell me what steps I need to take to finally get out of this stupid apartment.

Ever since I went off the pill (was getting too many headaches, plus I have high blood pressure), I noticed the peach fuzz on my upper lip is getting darker and longer... I've had to resort to bleaching it every few weeks. I'm a brunette and I know it's noticable and it makes me very self conscious. I'm not one to fret over my looks and I never wear makeup, but I find this embarassing. I often glance at my friends and co workers' upper lips and find I'm envious of their peach fuzz. I went off the pill about 2 years ago and I was hoping things would go back to normal, but no such luck

I'm going camping next week, and my dog is super sensitive to bug bites...the bites get really swollen....I don't want to use OFF because of the chemicals. Is there something natural or at least none toxic I can apply to his ears and muzzle and underside where the fur is thinner?

My dog survived a severe case of Immune Mediated Thrombocytopenia about a year and a half ago....since then he has not been vaccinated and my vet has hinted that she may list him as exempt from future shots. My dog is never unattended outside, so I'm not concerned about rabies, but I worry about other things like Parvo and distempter...He was 6 when he got sick and had been vaccinated each year since he was a puppy. He is now an 8 year old, neutered male rottweiler and still going strong. Anybody else out there ever had to deal with IMT? He's still on a low dose of prednisone and may be for the rest of his life.

Lately my jaw has been locking up on me... I also find, if I chew on something hard or chew gum for a while, I cannot open my mouth until the muscles are relaxed again. I haven't gone to the doctor yet, so I don't know if I have TMJ yet. This has just been going on for a couple of weeks now. I may go to the dentist soon because it is becoming a bother. It's also very painful if I have to yawn, but it's locked up.
