BQ: which sibset is your favourite and why?

I'm currently working on my first novel and I've got a character who's name I can't quite get right. He's seventeen and a trained assassin for a European agency; he's American by birth, has dirty blonde hair that's messy in a controlled kind of way and he's hugely protective over one of the main protagonists (who he treats as a younger sister). I started off with the name 'Miles' but have since decided that that doesn't really work for me, so I've narrowed my choices down to the following:

I'm writing a book and I can'y think of a name for the oldest daughter of the two main characters. The family is as follows:

I got my laptop just over a month ago and until last night it's been an absolute dream; no issues whatsoever, despite the fact that I'm transitioning between Windows Vista and Windows 8.1. However, I was using Word last night and every few seconds, it would act as if I was holding the Enter key down, adding a load of blank lines as I tried to write. I tried closing the document and opening it again and the problem remained, so I tried a different document and it still happened. I tried crashing my computer and then restarting it but that still didn’t solve the issue.

I then went to search on the internet and the search was sent off before I'd even finished writing it! I tried to finish the question was typing and again it acted as if the enter key was being pressed and sent the search off. In addition to this, my curser has been randomly getting stuck; it will simply stop moving and the only way it stops is if I press Alt-tab and change to a different programme and then return to the original programme I was using.

I didn't have any kind of internet security for about a week between my trial running out and actually buying the software. Could this be a virus? If so, how do I get rid of it? If it's not a virus, then what is it and how do I stop it??

I recently got a new laptop and bought Microsoft Office Home & Student at the same time. I went to download it last night and when asked what language I would like to set it up in, I accidentally chose French instead of English. I really don't want to have to buy a new interface pack just because of a silly, accidental mistake... Is there any way to resolve this without having to pay?

I've been advised to wipe my computer's hard drive, as it's been running slow for years and has loads of rubbish that I've managed to download on it that just manages to slow it down even more. I've been told by a friend that there's a good chance that I'll lose Microsoft Office if I do this; is there any way to avoid this happening? My computer was second hand with MS office already installed, so I don't have a disk, nor any licensing papers, as they didn't come with the computer.

I've transferred all of my other files onto an external drive but this seems utterly pointless if I'm going to lose MS office when I wipe the internal drive as I won't be able to view them. Is there any way to keep MS office, or download it again for free without any papers/an installation disk? Will I actually lose it when I wipe the internal hard drive, or was my friend mistaken? Any help would be much appreciated!

I've been playing the clarinet for five and a half years now, though I took a break after my second year because my clarinet broke and I had to get a new one. 2 and a half years on, I'm playing again almost constantly (in recitals, orchestra and as a hobby) and I'm having issues with air leaking out when I play. It wasn't such a huge issue at first, but I've realised that it's steadily got worse over the last year. I had my clarinet serviced to check for cork cracks and the like, and they said it's in perfect working order. My orchestra teacher said that I should try adjusting the position of my mouthpiece, and when that didn't work to try playing with a softer reed. After my year-long break, I jumped straight back to using a 2.5, which is what I used before my clarinet broke.

Should I go down to using a 1.5 reed, or a 2? Or could there be another issue with my clarinet/my playing? Thanks in advance :)

I'm going on a bit of a shopping spree soon, and I really want to update my wardrobe. Only problem is, I'm pretty busy with GCSEs at the moment, so I've kind of fallen back on whats 'in' and what isn't. My friends always looks incredible and I often feel like the odd one out because I don't have all of the typical designer stuff from Hollister and Jack Wills and all of that because my family isn't as well off as theirs.

So what's 'in style' at the moment? Just a couple of examples (links to pictures would be great) will do fine, and I'm 16 to give you an idea of my age if that helps :) It'd be very much appreciated if you could give me an idea for an outift (e.g. skinny jeans with a t-shirt and high-tops with a hoodie) but like I said, I don't know what's fashionable at the moment. I'm friends with someone who lives in America (i'm from England) and we originally met over the internet when were 18, so we've been friends for about 6 years now. She admin's on a Facebook page and she heard of something called a 'Culture Swap Box' which is where two people from different countries send each other gifts that are unique to the countries they are from, i.e. sweets, pictures etc. and we both thought it would be a good idea for something the two of us could do.

However, except a few sweets that you can't get in America, I'm at a loss as to what I can send her!! I'd love some ideas as too what things you can get in England that you can't get in America, help would be much appreciated!!!!

I noticed today that my guinea pig has gone completely bald on her stomach. She is the only one i have now (the other two died earlier this year). She is five years old, and i haven't really changed anything recently, other than the fact that i only clean the bedding part of her hutch once a week, and i do both every fortnight. She still has the same diet (dry pellets, lots of veggies and some edible hay, along with the hey she gets in her hutch, as well as lots of grass) and i change her water every day like i always have. I have also noticed that she has gone bald at the very tops of her legs. She's never had loads of hair here, but there is a very significant difference from the amount that she did have.Other than the hair loss she is completely healthy, eating and drinking normally and she's isn;t moving any differently to what she usually does.

Do you have any idea what could have caused this? Thanks in advance.
