I recently started a new diet (or lifestyle change as the Dr put it). The diet cuts out sugars, pasta, breads, rice and starches. Easy enough to just stay away from those items. The problem is I still need to eat 20g of carbs and 40g of protein in each meal. The protein is easy, I'm just having trouble with the 20g of carbs with out starches or grains. If anyone can give me some ideas of what to eat to get my carbs it would be appreciated!

My friend is a photo major in college and is doing a Boudoir project for class and I am doing the hair and make up. We are having trouble coming up with a place to do the photos. The schools studio isn't very big nor really has any props. Does anyone have any ideas for us? We are located in St.Louis Missouri. The models aren't really willing to pay for a hotel room and my friend doesn't have the money to pay for it either.

Any suggestions help!

Ok so I'm going to be driving practically coast to coast just me, my dog and my cat. I have a German sheppard pointer mix 2yrs old and only about 30lbs so I plan to have her in the front seat next to me. She doesn't need room to spread out cause she curls in a ball when she sleeps. Then I plan to have my cat in her carrier with the door open and a litter box on the floor in the backseat.

I know I will have to make a stop every few hours for a potty break, let them stretch their legs for a few minutes and get a drink. Neither one gets car sick, but they've never been in the car for 3 days. I have hotels planned out that are pet friendly along the way. I plan to get their health certificates this week and each are up to date on shots.

Any tips or advice from your past experiences would be great!

I was wondering if anyone on here has ever been to Cosmetology School or currently is attending.

How did you handle being around immature, petty, self absorbed, obnoxious girls 5 days a week? I go 5 hrs a night 5 days a week and the majority of my class gets on my nerves really bad. I'm not the loud obnoxious type like most the others there. I'm 22 so it's not like I'm the oldest or youngest one there either. I'm half way done but that means I still have about 7 months to go.

I am focused on my book work and my practical work (it's important to me to treat cosmetology school as any other school like getting good grades and excellent attendance.) It seems like everyone else just treats it like a social hour and doesn't really care.

Do you have any suggestions on how to get past the next 7 months so I can get away?

Would you pay more for a photography session if the price included hair and make-up? I'm thinking about going to cosmetology school and partnering up with a friend that is a photographer after I graduate. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to spend more money on their portrait package if there was a hairdresser/make-up artist's services included.

Please let me know any thoughts you have on this.

I went to the doctor today and was prescribed Paxil (20 mg) for my depression. I've been reading forums about people's experiences while on the drug. I wanted to know if anyone has taken Paxil and what they think of it. Did you experience weight loss or gain? Did you ever drink alcohol while on it? If so, how did that effect you?

Any information you can give me would be great. I haven't started taking it yet and I'm a little hesitant about it.

Ok I posted this a few minutes ago but I couldn't get a link to work. So here it goes again.... My puppy Lexie is about 9-10 months old. We got her from a shelter in February. We have no idea what she is and the vet isn't sure either. She has gained about 1lb a week (she was 5lbs when we got her... someone abandoned her on the beach) she weighs about 23lbs right now. She is a creamy off white color even though she looks really white in the picture. So any suggestions?

Hey, my 21st birthday is coming up and I know people are gonna want to buy me drinks. The problem is I can't stand the taste of alcohol. I can always taste it in mixed drinks I've tasted in the past. Can you recommend any drinks that don't taste strongly of alcohol or have the burn going down? Also I can't really drink much. I get half way through a smirnoff ice and get a stomachache or half way through an appletini. (It doesn't matter if I have food in my stomach or not) Any ideas what's up with that? Anyways thanks in advance!

I love to read but I need some suggestions on what to read next. I'm 20 years old so I'm pretty much over the "young adult" section. I normally read Stephen King, Dean Koontz, John Saul, and Jane Austen. I took AP English along with British and American Novels classes in high school so I've read the classics (Great Gatsby, The Outsiders, Catcher in the Rye, 1984, The Bell Jar, Farewell to Arms, Lord of the Flies, To Kill a Mockingbird, Of Mice and Men,etc) I don't really like romance novels.

Please don't suggest Harry Potter (I finished the series just to finish it, didn't really care after about the 5th one) I've read the Twilight Saga and I'm over the whole thing.

Sorry this was so long, I just didn't want suggestions I've already read. Any suggestions would be great.

It's in need of some maintanance, but it's not in need of an engine rebuild. It already has a R1-conversion body kit.

My husband and I just adopted a 3 month old Terrier/mutt yesterday. She is very small, weighs about 5 lbs if that and has very thin fur. We want to get her house-trained as soon as possible. However it is just too cold for her outside. Even our Southern California nights of 45 degrees is too cold for her. We took her outside to "go potty" and she just started shivering and tried to curl up against our legs and feet. I've looked at PetCo, Petsmart, Walmart, and Target for a little sweater for her, but they are all way too big.

Does anyone have any ideas for us to try? I bought "puppy pads" and placed one right next to the door leading to the back yard. She uses the "puppy pad" most of the time. But that only encourages her to go in the house. We really need to get her going outside.

Also part of the problem is that the shelter has only given her one of her DHPP shots and said not to let her down on the floor of PetCo and Petsmart because of the germs until she gets her 3rd shot in march. We don't allow her in the grass outside, if anyone knows if we can let her in the grass that would be great.

We have tried to contact the woman from the shelter we adopted her from, but she is not answering her phone.

If anyone can help, it would be appreciated.

Ok so I like to experiment with bleach and hair color. I have an idea of what I want to do in my head. This is just the first step. I need to do the second process on the blonde still. I would like to add a deep cherry red to it too.

But what do you think so far? It's still wet plus I took the picture with my phone so the colors a a little off.

If you are going to be mean, don't bother answering. Oh and it doesn't really matter if you like it or not. If I like it that's all that matters. I just want to see what some people think.

My hair is pretty short. Here is a picture of my hair. I have blonde hair in it but the blonde didn't work out and I dyed it a med/dark brown color (It's called Brandy) the next day.

I just heard of all this Code Pink today. Yes I'm a little out of the loop. But any way. I understand that they are anti-war, I don't really care for the war either. But they sit there getting recruiter's offices shut down and blocking them off so that no one can get in to the office. They call the marines murderers. They blame the military for war when they are just doing what they are told. And they say that WWII was an unjust war? That we had no business being in Hawaii in the first place?

Washed it out. But it didn't do anything to my hair except lighten the roots. What do I need to buy instead. What will work to get the blonde I'm wanting?

Ok, my husband and I just moved to San Diego and we are renting a house with 3 small bedrooms. My husband has to work nights on base leaving me home by my self from about 2pm to 3am. I begin to feel very uneasy being alone in the house when it starts to get dark. I believe in paranormal activity and spirits.

We do not have lights in our garage yet and one night when we came home from shopping I got out of the car and right after I closed the car door and turned to go to the trunk I saw something. I swear I saw a person move past me very quickly, it made my eyes focus and un focus many times in a matter of a second and I felt light headed for a second or two. Before you say it was my husband, it was not, he was on the other side of the car locking the garage door. Then a few days later my husband came home and asked if there was a reason one of the bedroom doors was closed. I didn't close the door. In fact I hadn't been on that side of the house all day. It was not a draft that closed it because all the windows were shut and we do not have central air. We don't have vents and such.

Please help me. If you have any ideas to make me feel more at ease while home alone let me know. It's to the point I don't leave the living room when he's at work at night. I've tried turning on all the lights and it didn't help any. I don't even feel comfortable doing the dishes alone at night.
